Abstract
Merokok merupakan suatu bentuk perilaku yang dewasa ini banyak dijumpai. Merokok bukan hanya dilakukan oleh kaum laki-laki tapi juga oleh kaum perempuan. Perempuan yang merokok khususnya mahasiswi di lingkungan Universitas, menjadi sorotan dan perhatian publik di kalangan antar mahasiswa. Fenomena perilaku merokok mahasisiwi di lingkungan kampus memang menjadi pro-kontra bagi setiap orang yang mempersepsikan, sebagian orang mungkin mempersepsikan fenomena perilaku merokok mahasiswi tersebut dianggap yang biasa atau mungkin berujung pada persepsi yang negatif. Secara umum tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Sosiologi tentang perilaku merokok mahasiswi di lingkungan kampus UPI. Penelitian ini menjawab pertanyaan yang telah dirumuskan yaitu: “Bagaimana persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Sosiologi tentang perilaku merokok mahasiswi di lingkungan kampus UPI?”. Secara khusus, masalah tersebut dirumuskan sebagai berikut: 1) Bagaimanakah persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Sosiologi tentang perilaku merokok mahasiswi dipandang dari nilai sosial? 2) Apakah mahasiswa pendidikan sosiologi mempersepsikan perilaku merokok mahasiswi di lingkungan kampus UPI merupakan gaya hidup? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa angket skala likert. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif yaitu menghitung prosentase jawaban responden. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Pendidikan Sosiologi mempersepsikan bahwa jika dilihat dari nilai sosial, mahasiswa Pendidikan Sosiologi mempersepsiakan negatif terhadap perilaku merokok mahasiswi di lingkungan kampus UPI tersebut. Perilaku merokok mahasiswi merupakan gaya hidup dilihat dari aspek motif, keluarga, dan kelas sosial. ;--- Cigarette smoking is a form of behavior that is encountered. Smoking is not only done by men but also by women. Specifically sorority women who smoke in the environment of the University, to become the spotlight of public attention and among intercultural student. The smoking behaviour of female university students phenomenon in the campus environment is indeed to be the pros and cons for each person who perceives, some might perceive the phenomenon of smoking behaviour is considered the usual sorority or may lead to a negative perception. In general the purpose of this research is to know the perception of Educational Sociology students about the smoking behaviour of students in the campus environment of the UPI. This study answers the question that has been formulated as follows: "How the perception of Educational Sociology students about the smoking behaviour of female university students in campus environment UPI?". Specifically, the problem is formulated as follows: 1) how did the Educational Sociology student perceptions about the smoking behavior of the social value of the Sorority? 2) is the educational sociology student perceives the smoking behaviour of students in the campus environment of the UPI is a lifestyle? This research uses a quantitative approach and descriptive methods. The instruments used in the study are now the scale likert. Data were analyzed by using research results analytical techniques descriptive calculate the percentage of answers of the respondents. The conclusion obtained from the study of Sociology Education students perceive that if seen from social values, Educational Sociology student perceptions negatively to the smoking behaviour of students in the campus environment of the UPI. The smoking behaviour of the Sorority is a lifestyle as seen from the aspect of motive, family, and social class.
