Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masih tingginya penduduk miskin serta tingkat pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat yang rendah. Tujuan penelitian mengembangkan model alternatif dalam mengetaskan kemiskinan dengan strategi pemberdayaan berbasis potensi diri. Pengembangan model menggunakan beberapa teori tentang konsep pemberdayaan, pendidikan nonformal, potensi diri, kreativitas dan kewirausahaan. Sampel berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling, validasi model dengan pertimbangan dari pakar dan diskusi kelompok. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan program pemberdayaan masih kurang terkoordinasi antara lembaga pemerintah, swasta dan masyarakat sehingga adanya kesamaan program. Pengembangan model sesuai dengan fungsi pendidikan nonformal mengembangkan potensi peserta didik atau masyarakat melalui tahapan input, proses dan output. Tahapan input pada proses assessment, tahapan proses adanya pelatihan, Tahapanan akhir meningkatkan kemampuan kreativitas kewirausahaan. Terbukti efektif dengan adanya peningkatan skor pada konsep diri, aspek diri, rencana ke depan, pengetahuan, keterampilan dan produktivitas ditujuhka pada nilai skor nilai signifikansi 0,000, nilai ini lebih kecil 0,05, artinya hipotesis nol ditolak. Keunggulan model yang dikembangkan dalam proses pemberdayaan yang dilaksanakan inheren dengan nilai-nilai potensi diri yaitu konsep diri, aspek diri dan rencana ke depan. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa potensi diri sangat berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan manusia. Oleh karena itu model pemberdayaan berbasis potensi diri sebagai alternatif dalam mengetaskan kemiskinan, bahan rujukan bagi fasilitator pemberdayaan serta pengambil kebijakan dalam menentukan strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat miskin di perkotaan. ;---This research is background by the high population of poor people, lack of knowledge and skills of community. This study aims to develop alternative model in overcoming poverty using empowerment model strategy based on self-potential. The result of this study describes that the program of empowerment still uncoordinated between government, private institution and community, so that the program is same. The program development based on the function of non-formal education which is develop the potential of educate participant or community through input, output, and process. The input step is assessment process, the process step is a training, and the final step increases the ability of creative entrepreneurship. The research shows an effective result by an increase of score in self-concept, self-aspect, future plans, knowledge, skills and productivity which is showed a significant value 0,000. This value is smaller than 0, 05 that means the hypothesis is rejected. This is such significan model since it has been developed by way empowerment the is inherently with developed of self-potential. The conclusion shows that self-potential has an influence in increasing human competency. So that, the empowerment model based on self-potential is an alternative in overcoming poverty, a reference for empowerment facilitator, and decision maker in choosing strategy of empowering urban poor people.
