Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI IIS di SMA Negeri 18 Bandung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model inkuiri tipe jurisprudensial terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu, metode kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain Nonequivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Group Design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes tertulis bentuk soal uraian. Jumlah subjek pada penelitian, sebanyak 63 orang siswa, yang terdiri dari dua kelas. Uji hipotesis menggunakan paired sample test dan independent sample test. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas eksperimen antara sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri tipe jurisprudensial. Penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri tipe jurisprudensial lebih efektif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dibandingkan dengan metode ceramah. ;---The problem of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the type of jurisprudential inquiry model to the students' critical thinking skills at experiment class. The method used in this research, quasi experimental method using Nonequivalent design (pretest-posttest) Control Group Design. . The use of the type of jurisprudential inquiry learning model is more effective can improve critical thinking skills than the lecture method. The data collection is done by a written test. The number of subjects in the study, which amounted to 63 students, which consists of two classes. The use of analysis of hypotheses use paired sample test and independent sample test. The result of this study showed that an increase in critical thinking skills of students before and after learning to use the type of jurisprudential inquiry learning model. The use of the type of jurisprudential inquiry model more effective to increase critical thinking just than conventional methode.
