Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa SMA terhadap keterampilan menjelaskan mahasiswa PPL Departemen Pendidikan Geografi UPI dalam aspek kejelasan, penggunaan contoh dan ilustrasi, pemberian tekanan, dan penggunaan balikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA PGII 1 Bandung dan SMA Kartika 3 yang diajar oleh mahasiswa PPL dengan sampel 68 siswa Variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari persepsi siswa sebagai variabel bebas (x) dan keterampilan menjelaskan sebagai variabel terikat (y). Data dikumpulkan melalui angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan gunakan Skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) persepsi siswa terhadap kejelasan dalam mengajar dikategorikan kuat dengan persentase 73,3%; (2) Persepsi siswa terhadap pemberian contoh dan ilustrasi dalam mengajar dikategorikan kuat dengan persentase 71,42%; (3) Persepsi siswa terhadap pemberian tekanan dalam mengajar dikategorikan kuat dengan persentase 73,18%; (4) Persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan balikan dikategorikan kuat dengan persentase 73,68%; Dengan demikian persepsi siswa SMA terhadap keterampilan menjelaskan mahasiswa PPL dalam Mengajar secara keseluruhan dikategorikan kuat.;--- This study aims to determine the perception of high school students to explain the skills students PPL UPI Department of Geography Education in the aspect of clarity, the use of examples and illustrations, giving the pressure, and the use of feedback. This research is a descriptive survey method. The population in this study were PGII 1 Bandung and Kartika 3 high school students are taught by student PPL. The research variables consisted of student perceptions as an independent variable (x) and skills to explain the dependent variable (y). Data were collected through questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used using Likert Scale. The results showed: (1) students' perception of clarity in teaching strong categorized by percentage of 73.3%; (2) Perceptions of students against giving examples and illustrations in teaching strong categorized by the percentage of 71.42%; (3) Perceptions of students to the administration of strong pressure in teaching categorized by the percentage of 73.18%; (4) The perception of students toward the use of a strong reversal categorized with the percentage of 73.68%; Thus the perception of high school students to explain the student skills in teaching overall PPL considered strong.
