Abstract

Telah banyak lembaga dan instansi yang mendorong inisiatif pengurangan resiko bencana ke dalam proses pendidikan di sekolah. Meskipun telah banyak dilakukan pelatihan bagi guru dan siswa di sekolah tentang pengetahuan dan latihan pengurangan resiko bencana, tetapi para guru dan siswa masih belum memahaminya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi peranan pembelajaran geografi terhadap pemahaman peserta didik mengenai banjir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei untuk memperoleh sejauh mana peran pendidikan geografi terhadap pemahaman peserta didik mengenai banjir di Kabupaten Karawang. Kesimpulannya bahwa materi pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran, media pembelajaran dan evaluasi pembelajaran sama-sama memiliki peranan penting terhadap pemahaman peserta didik mengenai banjir. ; Has many institutions and agencies that encourage disaster risk reduction initiatives in the education process in schools . Although it has done a lot of training for teachers and students in the school of knowledge and practice of disaster risk reduction , but the teachers and students still do not understand it. The purpose of this study was to identify the role of geography teaching to students understanding of the flood . This study used survey method to obtain the extent of the role of geography education to students understanding about floods in Karawang . The conclusion that the learning materials , teaching methods , instructional media and learning evaluation both have an important role to the students understanding of the flood
