Abstract

Literasi ekologis merupakan upaya untuk mewujudkan masyarakat yang berkelanjutan, yaitu masyarakat yang menata kehidupannya dengan didasarkan pada pertimbangan mengenai pentingnya perlindungan dan pelestarian lingkungan hidup. salah satu upaya komprehensif untuk membentuk peserta didik yang memiliki literasi ekologis adalah melalui Program Adiwiyata. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah efektifitas Program Adiwiyata dalam upaya membangun literasi ekologis peserta didik di Kota Banda Aceh. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei (explanatory survey) di sepuluh sekolah di Kota Banda Aceh, dengan responden terdiri atas kepala/wakil kepala sekolah, koordinator Adiwiyata, tenaga pendidik, tenaga administrasi, dan peserta didik. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji statistik nonparametrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) secara umum implementasi program Adiwiyata di Kota Banda Aceh masih belum efektif; (2) keempat komponen Adiwiyata yaitu: a) kebijakan sekolah berwawasan lingkungan, b) implementasi kurikulum berbasis lingkungan, c) budaya sekolah ramah lingkungan, dan d) pengelolaan sarana prasarana pendukung ramah lingkungan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap literasi ekologis peserta didik; dan (3) Walaupun signifikan, komponen kebijakan sekolah berwawasan lingkungan dan komponen implementasi kurikulum berbasis lingkungan memiliki pengaruh yang kecil terhadap literasi ekologis peserta didik. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah semakin efektif dan kuat keempat komponen Adiwiyata diimplementasikan maka literasi ekologis peserta didik semakin tinggi. Berdasarkan hal ini maka empat komponen Adiwiyata harus dapat diimplementasikan dengan optimal secara bersama-sama di setiap sekolah dalam upaya mewujudkan Sekolah Adiwiyata.;---Ecological literacy is the effort to embody sustainable community, that is community who organize their life by considering the importance of environment protection and preservation. One of comprehensive effort to create students who have ecological literacy is through Adiwiyata Program. This study is aimed to find out how the effectiveness of Adiwiyata Program in the effort to build students’ ecological literacy in Banda Aceh City. The method use explanatory survey in ten schools in Banda Aceh City, with respondents consist of school principal/vice principal, coordinator of Adiwiyata, educator staff, administrative staff, and students. Hypothesis test use nonparametric statistic test. The result of study showed that (1) generally the implementation of Adiwiyata program in Banda Aceh City still not effective; (2) the four components of Adiwiyata namely: a) environmental school policy, b) the implementation of environmental based curriculum, c) eco-friendly school culture, and d) the management of eco-friendly infrastructure is significantly influenced students’ ecological literacy; and (3) Even though significant, environmental school policy component and environmental based curriculum implementation component give little influence to students’ ecological literacy. The finding of this study is that the more effective and stronger of Adiwiyata components are implemented, the higher of students’ ecological literacy. Based on this, then four components of Adiwiyata should be implemented optimally together in each school in the effort to embody Adiwiyata School.
