Abstract

Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya kinerja guru di SMK Merdeka Bandung yang di tandai dengan penilaian kinerja guru (PKG) selama lima tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai tingkat kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru di SMK Merdeka Bandung , dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di SMK Merdeka Bandung. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey eksplanasi. Responden penelitian ini berjumlah 32 guru di SMK Merdeka Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket (kuesioner) yang dikembangkan menggunakan model skala likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah berada pada kategori tinggi dan kinerja guru berada pada kategori tinggi. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukan bahwa kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. ;---Issue examined in this study was performance of teachers in Vocational School of Merdeka Bandung which are not optimal marked with teacher performance evaluation for five years. The aimed of this study are to get a picture of the level of managerial competencies of school principal and performance of the teachers in Vocational School of Merdeka Bandung, and to determine the effect of managerial competence of school principal towards teacher performance in Vocational School of Merdeka Bandung. Research methods used in this research was survey explanatory. The respondents of this study were 32 teachers in Vocational School of Merdeka Bandung. The data was collected by questionnaires that were developed by using a Likert scale model. Data were analyzed using simple regression analysis. The results showed that the managerial competence of the school principal at the high category and the performance of teachers at the high category. Regression analysis showed that the managerial competence of the school principal has positive and significant impact on teachers’ performance.
