Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh proses belajar mengenai materi pendidikan kesehatan di sekolah yang kurang tersampaikan dalam setiap kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang dilakukan terhadap peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 19 Garut yang berjumlah 64 orang dengan cara pengambilan purposive sampel. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan soal pernyataan yang disesuaikan dengan isi dari kurikulum 2013. Hasil perhitungan untuk metode ceramah yaitu thitung 1,08 dengan ttabel 2,04 yang berarti tidak signifikan, sedangkan hasil perhitungan untuk metode demonstrasi yaitu thitung 2,18 dengan ttabel 2,04 yang berarti signifikan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui metode demonstrasi dalam pembelajaran pendidikan kesehatan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik;--- The background of this study was the result of initial observation on health education material in the school that was not well conveyed in every learning activity, and to inform the sport activists, the students, and the public about which method that is more effective to use in earning process in health education material. This study employs experimental method with quantitative approach. It was conducted to the students of grade XI-Science 2 and XI-Science 3 in 19 Garut Senior High School that consist of 64 persons. The instrument research uses some questions based on curriculum 2013. The collected data was analyzed by using statistic technique. The calculation result of lecture method is tcalc 1.08 with ttable 2.04, which means not significant. Meanwhile, the calculation result of demonstration method is tcalc 2.18 with ttable 2.04, which means significant. Based on that analysis, it can be concluded that demonstration method in health education learning can improve the students’ learning outcome
