Abstract
The main problem in the research is the lack of efficiency of factors production being us of simping industry in Purwakarta which does not reach optimum target. The purpose of this research is to analyze production efficiency in simping industry in Purwakarta. This research used descriptived analytic method, questionnaire, interview, observation and litelature study. Data analysis technique in this research used non-parametric frontier approach, with Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method as for Open Source Data Envelopment Analysis (OSDEA) used as a tool in this research. The sampling technique used random sampling. The population in this research are entrepreneur of simping industry in Purwakarta. Based on research result : (1) factor of production that are being used in simping industry in Purwakarta are capital, employee, main materials, fuel and the adjuvant materials. (2) based on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) factor of production simping industry in Purwakarta the result are’t show the maximum efficiency level based on CRS model <1 and VRS model <1. (3) Scale of production simping industry in Purwakarta by used Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method showd it’s in condition of Decreasing Returns to Scale (DRTS) with relative scale of production is 0.9798 % as well as sellers.
