Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul “Peranan K.H. Izzudin dalam Mengembangkan Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah dan Dampaknya Terhadap Kehidupan Keagamaan Masyarakat Purwakarta (1963- 1999)”. Peneliti tertarik dengan tema tersebut dikarenakan memiliki pemahaman bahwa kebesaran Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah saaat ini tidak dapat dilepaskan dari adanya peran serta para pendahulunya. Adapun masalah utama yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini adalah “bagaimana jejak langkah K.H. Izzudin dalam mengembangkan pondok pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah dan dampaknya terhadap kehidupan keagamaan masyarakat Purwakarta (1963- 1999)?”. Masalah utama tersebut kemudian dibagi menjadi empat pertanyaan penelitian, yaitu: bagaimana profil dan latar belakang pemikiran K.H. Izzudin?; gagaimana pemikiran K.H. Izzudin berkaitan dengan kepemimpinannya di pondok pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah?; bagaimana perkembangan pondok pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah di bawah pimpinan K.H. Izzudin?; bagaimana dampak keberadaan pondok pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah terhadap kehidupan keagamaan masyarakat Purwakarta?. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode historis, dengan langkah- langkah sebagai berikut: heuristik, kritik eksternal dan internal; interpretasi atau penafsiran sumber dan historiografi yang mencakup profil, silsilah dan riwayat pendidikan K.H. Izzudin, pemikiran K.H. Izzudin terkait dengan kepemimpinannya di pondok pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah ,perkembangan pondok pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah masa kepemimpinan K.H. Izzudin dan dampak keberadaan pondok pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah terhadap kehidupan keagamaan masyarakat Purwakarta. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa kesimpulan. Pertama, profil dan latar belakang kehidupan K.H. Izzudin berdasar pada ajaran agama yang sufistik. Kedua, pemikiran K.H. Izzudin berkaitan dengan kepemimpinan tergambarkan dalam pandangannya mencakup tigas aspek, pendidikan, politik dan ekonomi. Ketiga, perkembangan pondok pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah dibawah pimpinan K.H. Izzudin dibagi menjadi dua periode, periode perintisan kembali dan periode pengembangan. Keempat, keberadaan pondok pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah memberikan dampak terhadap kehidupan keagamaan masyarakat Purwakarta, diantaranya yaitu pendirian majelis ta’lim, pondok pesantren dan lembaga pendidikan formal yang berlandaskan nafas Islam.;---The paper is entitled “The Role of K.H. Izzudin in Developing Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah and Its Impact to the Religious Life of Purwakarta Community (1963 - 1999). The researcher is interested to the topic because she has an understanding of the reputation of Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalifiyah today cannot be separated from the predecessors. The main problem of this paper is “how is the footsteps taken by KH. Izzudin in developing Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah and its impact to the religious life of Purwakarta community (1963 - 1999)?”. The main problem later is divided into four research questions, which are: how is the profile and thoughts background of K.H. Izzudin?; how is his notion related to his leadership in Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah?; how is the development of Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalifiyah under the leadership of K.H. Izzudin?; how is the impact of Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalifiyah to the religious life of Purwakarta community?;. The method used in this research is historical method, with the stages as follows: heuristic, external and internal critics; sources interpretation and historiography which cover the profile, pedigree and educational background of K.H. Izzudin, K.H. Izzudin’s thoughts related to his leadership in Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah, the development of Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah under the leadership of K.H. Izzudin and the impact of Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah to the religious life of Purwakarta community. Based on the research findings it is concluded that, first, the profile and background of K.H. Izzudin are based on Sufism. Second, K.H. Izzudin’s thoughts related to his leadership is represented in his views of three aspects, education, politics, and economics. Third, the development of Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah under the leadership of K.H. Izzudin is forked into two periods, re-pioneering period and the development period. Forth, the existence of Pondok Pesantren Alhikamussalafiyah gives some impacts towards the religious life of Purwakarta community, which are the establishments of majelis ta’lim, pondok pesantren, and formal educational institution based on Islamic principles.
