Abstract

Sebelumnya peneliti telah melakukan pembelajaran IPS di kelas IV di salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Bandung dengan materi mengenai peta. Karena sempat mengisi jam kosong mata pelajaran IPS di kelas IV, peneliti melakukan pembelajaran dengan siswa hanya menggunakan metode ceramah saja dengan mengacu pada buku paket di sekolah. Melalui pembelajaran tersebut, peneliti mendapatkan hasil belajar yang dinilai masih kurang. Berdasarkan pengerjaan soal dari buku paket IPS yang ada, diperoleh sebanyak 6 orang yang dapat mencapai KKM IPS yaitu nilai 70 keatas dari jumlah 30 siswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti beranggapan bahwa memerlukan perbaikan untuk mengatasi hal tersebut. Oleh karena itu peneliti menyusun perencanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPS. Siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami pembelajaran IPS cukup banyak, Inilah alasan mengapa peneliti memilih kelas IV ini, karena ±65% siswanya kesulitan dalam menyerap materi pelajaran IPS. Secara umum penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana proses pembelajaran yang menggunakan model pembelajaran NHT dapat meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS. Penelitian tersebut dilakukan dalam 4 siklus di kelas IV dengan jumlah siswa 30 orang, yang terdiri 18 orang siswi perempuan dan 12 siswa laki-laki. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dikelas IV pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, dan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial.;---Previous researchers have conducted social studies lesson in the fourth grade in one elementary school in Bandung with material on the map. Because the time to fill the empty hours of social studies in class IV, researchers conducted a study with students only using lecture method only with reference to the textbooks in schools. Through the study, researchers get a learning outcome that is insufficient. Based on the work exercises from the textbooks existing IPS, gained as much as 6 to reach KKM IPS value is 70 and above of the total number of 30 students. Based on this, the researchers assumed that require repair to overcome it. Therefore, researchers planning cooperative learning model NHT to improve learning outcomes of fourth grade students in social studies. Students who have difficulty in understanding the social studies learning quite a lot, is the reason why the researchers chose the fourth grade, as ± 65% of their students absorb the material difficulties in social studies. In general, this study aims to determine the extent of the learning process using NHT learning model can improve student learning outcomes in social studies. The study was conducted in four cycles in the fourth grade with the number of students 30 people, including 18 female students and 12 male students. Based on the research results, the implementation of cooperative learning Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve student learning outcomes in class IV on the subjects of Social Sciences, and the implementation of cooperative learning Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve learning outcomes of fourth grade students in the subjects of Science Social knowledge.
