Abstract

Penelitian berjudul “Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Notasi Balok Siswa Les Keyboard Privat melalui Media Flashcard” ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keinginan peneliti untuk membantu siswa les keyboard privat yang memiliki masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca notasi balok siswa melalui media flashcard. Kekuatan flashcard sebagai media visual adalah melatih dan memperkuat ingatan akan suatu informasi. Dalam penelitian ini flashcard dirancang untuk melatih proses recalling informasi visual dan mengintegrasikan antara kemampuan visual, auditori, dan kinestetik yang merupakan aspek utama dalam membaca notasi balok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Partisipan yang menjadi subjek penelitian yakni satu orang siswa berusia 16 tahun. Melalui penerapan media flashcard secara bertahap kemampuan membaca notasi balok siswa dapat meningkat. Urutan pencapaian kompetensi membaca notasi balok dimulai dari kemampuan mengidentifikasi pergerakan nada, mengidentifikasi nama not pada keyboard, mengidentifikasi identitas not pada paranada, merespon tanda dinamika dan petunjuk-petunjuk musik, dan memainkan not di treble clef dan bass clef pada keyboard. Afeksi siswa selama proses pembelajaran penting untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dan psikomotornya. Penerapan flashcard mampu meningkatkan antusiasme dan kebermaknaan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga hasil akhirnya dapat terjadi peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca notasi balok.;--- The study entitled "Improving Private Keyboard Student’s Music Reading Ability through Flashcard Media" is motivated by the desire to help private keyboard student that has the problem. The purpose of this research is to improve the music reading ability of student through flashcard media. Flashcard strength as visual media is to train and strengthen the memory of the information. In this study flashcards designed to train the process of recalling visual information and integrate the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic skills which are a major aspect in music reading. The method used is classroom action research (CAR) carried out in three cycles. Participant was single subject, a 16 years old private keyboard student. Through the implementation of flashcard media music reading ability of student can be increased gradually. The student acquisition starts from the ability to identify the movement of tone, identifying name of the note on the keyboard, identify the identity of the notes on the stave, responding to dynamics signs and music cues, and play the notes on the treble clef and bass clef on the keyboard. Student’s affection during the learning process is important to improve her cognitive and psychomotor skills. Implementation of flashcard was able to increase the enthusiasm and the meaningfulness in the learning process, that finally the result can increase student’s music reading ability.
