Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan materi rumus kimia, tata nama senyawa, persamaan reaksi, dan hukum dasar kimia pada buku teks yang digunakan di sebagian besar SMA/MA Negeri di Kota Bandung berdasarkan kriteria tahap seleksi dari 4S TMD. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian evaluatif dengan metode analisis konten. Terdapat tiga kriteria pada tahap seleksi dari 4S TMD, yaitu (1) kesesuaian dengan tuntutan kurikulum, (2) kebenaran konsep, dan (3) penanaman nilai-nilai. Berdasarkan kriteria pertama, diketahui bahwa objek penelitian belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Kesesuaian dengan tuntutan kurikulum ditinjau dari dua aspek, yaitu keluasan materi dan kedalaman konsep. Ditinjau dari segi keluasan materi, dari 28 konsep yang dituntut kurikulum, terdapat satu konsep yang tidak dimuat dalam materi tersebut sehingga keluasannya dinyatakan kurang. Sementara itu, ditinjau dari segi kedalaman konsep, dari 27 konsep yang keluasannya sesuai, terdapat tiga konsep yang dinyatakan kurang dalam dan dua konsep yang dinyatakan terlalu dalam. Selanjutnya berdasarkan kriteria kedua, diketahui bahwa terdapat dua konsep yang belum benar secara keilmuan berdasarkan referensi buku-buku teks kimia umum internasional. Berdasarkan kriteria terakhir, diketahui bahwa terdapat dua nilai yang ditanamkan pada materi tersebut, yaitu nilai nilai rasa ingin tahu, dan menghargai prestasi.;---This study was conducted to determine the feasibility of chemical formula, compounds nomenclature, chemical equation, and chemistry fundamental laws materials in chemistry textbook which is used in most SMA/MA in Bandung based on the criteria of the selection process 4S TMD. The type of research is evaluative research by content analysis method. There are three criteria in the selection process of the 4S TMD, that is (1) conformity with teh demands of the curriculum, (2) concept validity, and (3) the inculcation of values. Based on the first criterion, it is known that object of research is not yet fully in accordance with the demands of Kurikulum 2013. The conformity with the demands of the curriculum be viewed from two aspects, that is material broadness and concepts depth. In terms of material broadness, from 28 concepts demanded by the curriculum, there is concept required by the curriculum that is not included in the material, so that, the material broadness is less. Meanwhile, in terms of concepts depth, from 27 concepts that relevant with curriculum, there are three concepts are less deep and two concepts is too deep. Furthermore, based on the second criterion, there are two concepts invalid scientifically according to international general chemistry textbooks. Based on the last criterion, that is inculcation of values, it is known that there are two values inculcated in the material, those are curiosity and achievement appreciation.
