Abstract

Penelitian didasari studi pendahuluan bahwa pelanggaran yang terjadi di sekolah kerap dilakukan oleh siswa dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi kelas atas. Tujuan penelitian untuk memperoleh data empirik tentang profil penyesuaian sosial siswa berdasarkan status sosial ekonomi (studi deskriptif terhadap siswa kelas X di SMAN 2 Bandung). Pendekatan yang digunakan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan desain survey. Sampel penelitian adalah 195 siswa kelas X tahun ajaran 2016/2017 di SMAN 2 Bandung, diambil dengan teknik stratified sampling. Ketercapaian tingkat penyesuaian sosial siswa diukur dengan angket yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti sesuai dengan aspek dan indikator dalam teori penyesuaian sosial, dengan 45 item valid dari 62 item yang dikembangkan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan 1) Pencapaian tingkat penyesuaian sosial siswa kelas X di SMAN 2 Bandung secara umum berada pada kategori sedang, artinya siswa sudah memiliki pencapaian tingkat penyesuaian yang cukup pada setiap aspek, 2) Status sosial ekonomi keluarga siswa kelas X di SMAN 2 Bandung mayoritas berada pada kelompok sosial ekonomi kelas tinggi artinya orang tua siswa memiliki pendidikan tinggi dengan pekerjaan tetap dan penghasilan tinggi, 3) Pencapaian penyesuaian sosial pada setiap kelompok sosial ekonomi baik kelas atas, menengah maupun bawah berada pada kategori sedang, dilihat berdasarkan kategori penyesuaian sosial, pencapaian penyesuaian sosial tingkat tinggi didominasi oleh siswa dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi kelas bawah, tingkat sedang didominasi oleh siswa dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi kelas menengah, dan tingkat rendah didominasi oleh siswa dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi kelas atas.;--- The research is based on preliminary studies that the violations occurred at the school are often commited by students with high-class socioeconomic circumstances. The purpose of this research was to obtain empirical data on the students’ social adjustment profile, assessed by socioeconomic status (a descriptive study of the social adjustment’s profile in SMAN 2 Bandung 10th grade students). This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods and survey design. Thus research was conducted to 195 samples of SMAN 2 Bandung 10th grade student at 2016/2017 years, using stratified sampling technique. The achievement level of the students’ social adjustment theory, with 45 valid items of 62 items developed. The research findings indicate: 1) in general, the level of social adjustment students in the 10th grade at SMAN 2 Bandung are in the medium category, which means the students already have sufficient attainment levels adjustments in every aspect. 2) the socioeconomic status in the 10th grade students in SMAN 2 Bandung is located in a high-class socioeconomic groups, which means that their parents have higher education with a permanent job and a hugh income. 3) the level of social adjustment of students at every socioeconomic groups, high-class, middle even low class are in middle category. 4) in the social adjustments category, the higher levels of social adjustment is dominated by students with low-class socioeconomic, the middle level dominated by students with middle-class socioeconomic, and the low level is dominated by high-class socioeconomic.
