Abstract

Likuifaksi adalah proses berkurangnya kekuatan geser tanah akibat beban seismik ketika terjadi gempa bumi. Menurut Towhata (2008) likuifaksi terjadi pada tanah yang berpasir lepas (tidak padat) dan jenuh air. Penyebab likuifaksi adalah naiknya tekanan air pori tanah yang diakibatkan oleh adanya getaran (gempa). Oleh karena itu, diperlukan metode perbaikan dengan mengurangi tekanan air pori tanah yang terjadi. Melalui penelitian ini akan diketahui pengaruh penambahan tekanan udara terhadap tekanan air pori tanah sebagai upaya perbaikan tanah yang berpotensi likuifaksi. Variabel injeksi udara yang digunakan yaitu 0, 10, 20, 30 kPa. Hasil dari pengujian sifat fisik tanah mempunyai berat isi 1,63 gr/cm3, kadar air 16,5 %, berat jenis 2,65, dan Kerapatan relatif sebesar 22 %. Pengujian gradasi menunjukan pasir uji termasuk kriteria pasir lepas serta nilai coefficient of curvature (Cc) 1,04 dan coefficient of uniformnity (Cu) 2 yang menunjukan bahwa pasir uji termasuk kriteria tanah pasir bergradasi buruk. Berdasarkan hasil analisis shaking table dengan percepatan gempa 0,3 g tanah tidak berpotensi likuifaksi. Hasil analisis percepatan gempa 0,6 g, likuifaksi terjadi pada tanah tanpa injeksi dan di injeksi udara sebesar 10 kPa. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan tekanan air pori yang terjadi sama dengan tegangan total tanah tersebut. Pada kondisi tanah di injeksi udara 20 kPa dan 30 kPa, tekanan air pori yang terjadi kurang dari tegangan total yang terjadi. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa tanah tidak terjadi likuifaksi.---; Liquefaction is a process of reduction in shear strength of the soil due to seismic loads from earthquake. According Towhata (2008) liquefaction occurs in sandy loose (not solid) and saturated.The cause of liquefaction is the pore water pressure increase caused by vibration (earthquake). Therefore, we need an improved method to reduce the pore water pressure of soil. Through this research will be known the effect of air pressure on the pore water pressure as efforts to improve liquefied soil. The Results of physical properties test, soil has a bulk density of 1,63 gr/cm3, water content of 16,5%, a specific gravity of 2,65, and a relative density of 22%. Gradation tests show that criteria of sand included loose sand and the value of the coefficient of curvature (Cc) of 1,04 and a coefficient of uniformnity (Cu) 2. Based on gradation test, the criteria of sand included poorly graded. Variations of air injection are used 0, 10, 20, 30 kPa. Based on the analysis of shaking table with seismic acceleration of 0,3 g, soil is not potential for liquefaction. In the analysis results with seismic acceleration of 0,6 g, liquefaction occurs when the soil without air injection and air injection of 10 kPa. It based on pore water pressure that occurs equal with the total stress of soil. The soil condition with air injection of 20 kPa and 30 kPa, pore water pressure that occurs less than the total stress of soil. The results show that liquefaction not occurs when the soil with air injection of 20 kPa and 30 kPa.
