Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah keterbatasan media pembelajaran pada Kompetensi Dasar Rangkaian Sekuensial Mata Pelajaran Digital. Keterbatasan tersebut dilihat dari jumlah dan kelayakan media pembelajaran yang digunakan tentu saja sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil ulangan harian sebelum dilakukan remedial terlihat bahwa peserta didik yang dapat mencapai nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimum (KKM) di atas 75 hanya 35%. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan yaitu dengan diterapkannya pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Media Pembelajaran berbasis perangkat lunak Livewire dan Electronics Workbench dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pencapaian aspek kognitif “Kompetensi Dasar Rangkaian Sekuensial” pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Quasi Experimental Design menggunakan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif, pada kelas eksperimen. Hal tersebut dibuktikan pada ranah kognitif berdasarkan hasil perhitungan gain kelas yang menggunakan Livewire meningkat sebesar 0,65 dari rata-rata posttest 78,83, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan perangkat lunak Electronics Workbench meningkat 0.56 dari rata-rata posttest 73,87. Oleh karena itu penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis perangkat lunak Livewire dan Electronics Workbench dapat dikatakan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif.;---The background of this study is the limitation of teaching media in Basic Competence of Sequential Circuit on Digital Subject. This limitation can be seen through the amount of teaching media and their worthiness. That is exactly influential to the students’ learning outcome. The result of daily test before conducting remedial test shows that only 35% of the students achieve the score of Minimum Completeness Criteria above 75. One of the efforts applied is the implementation of learning that uses teaching media based on Livewire software andElectronics Workbench that aim to understand the difference of cognitive aspect achievement on “Basic Competence of Sequential Circuit” in experimental and control classes. The research method used in this study is the method of Quasi Experimental Design that employs Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This study shows that there is improvement on the students’ learning outcome on cognitive field in experimental class. It is proven by the cognitive field based on the result of class gain calculation that employs Livewire. It is increased 0.65 from the average posttest of 78.83. Meanwhile, control class that uses the software of Electronics Workbench is increased 0.56 from the average posttest of 73.87. Therefore, the use of teaching media with the bases of Livewire and Electronics Workbench software can improve the students’ learning outcome in cognitive field.
