Abstract
ABSTRAK Skripsi ini berjudul Pasang surut kehidupan petani sayur di Desa Cikole tahun 1990-2008 : dari pertanian tradisional ke modern. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini yaitu mengenai perubahan sosial ekonomi petani sayur ketika menerapkan sistem tradisional kemudian menjadi sistem pertanian modern, upaya petani meningkatkan pertaniannya, serta dampak penggunaan sistem modern terhadap sosial ekonomi petani. Kajian penelitian ini lebih difokuskan pada tahun 1990 – 2008, karena pada periode tersebut terjadi perubahan sistem pertanian serta perkembangan pertanian di Desa Cikole. Manfaat yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengangkat kehidupan petani sayuran yang mengembangkan sistem pertaniannya dengan pemanfaatan teknologi pertanian. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode historis, karena pengumpulan data serta fakta yang dibutuhkan berasal dari masa lampau. Adapun langkah – langkah yang dilakukan yaitu heuristik atau pengumpulan sumber baik secaralisan maupun tulisan, kemudian kritik sumber, interpretasi, kemudian historiografi. Untuk lebih memahami permasalahan maka penulis menggunakan konsep yang relevan dengan pendekatan ilmu sosiologi ,antropologi dan agronomi. Desa Cikole merupakan desa penghasil sayuran yang cukup besar di wilayah Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Kontur tanah serta cuaca yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat dapat dijadikan sumber ekonomi bagi masyarakat. Namun potensi alam tersebut belum bisa dirasakan manfaatnya secara maksimal, pada tahun 1990 minat masyarakat mengembangkan pertanian menjadi menurun karena pertanian kurang menjanjikan, karena hasil panen tidak maksimal sehingga harga jual rendah. Dengan upaya dari pemerintah dan masyarakat akhirnya pada awal tahun 2000 akhirnya petani mengembangkan pertanian dengan penggunaan teknologi pertanian untuk meningkatkan kualitas pertaniannya. Perubahan sistem pertanian sangat dirasakan manfaatnya karena harga jual sayuran yang dihasilkan mulai dapat memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi petani. ;--- This research entitled the ups and downs of life in the village vegetable growers Cikole years 1990-2008: from traditional to modern agriculture. The problems discussed in this thesis is about the socio-economic changes vegetable farmers when applying the traditional system and then into a system of modern agriculture, farmers increase their agricultural efforts, as well as the impact of the use of modern systems to socio-economic farmers. This research study is focused on the year 1990 - 2008, because at that period occurred changes in farming systems and the development of agriculture in the Cikole village. The benefits in question in this research is to uplift the lives of the growers who developed agricultural system with the use of agricultural technology. The method used is the historical method, as well as the fact that data collection is needed comes from the past. The steps - steps taken are heuristic or collection sources, both orally and in writing, then the source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. To better understand the problem, the authors use a concept that is relevant to the approach of sociology, anthropology and agronomy. Cikole village is the village quite large producer of vegetables in the subdistrict of Lembang, West Bandung regency. Contour of the land and the weather that can be utilized by the community can be used as an economic resource for the community. However, the natural potential can not be perceived benefits to the maximum, in 1990 the public interest in developing agriculture is reduced due to agriculture is less promising, because the harvest so that the maximum selling price low. With the efforts of the government and the public in early 2000 finally ended the farmers develop agriculture with the use of agricultural technology to improve the quality of the farm. Changes in farming systems very useful because the selling price of vegetables from the beginning to meet the economic needs of farmers.
