Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab, terutama dalam penguasaan kosakata. Sehingga peneliti menganggap penting untuk meneliti permasalahan yang ditemukan di lapangan tersebut, solusinya peneliti mencoba menggunakan Metode Demonstrasi. Metode Demonstrasi adalah metode pengajaran dengan cara memperagakan benda, kejadian, aturan dan urutan melakukan suatu kegiatan, baik secara langsung maupun melalui penggunaan media pengajaran yang relevan dan pokok bahasan atau materi yang sedang disajikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Metode Quasi Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design, yakni penelitian yang dilakukan menekankan analisis pada data-data numeric (angka). Hasil perhitungan menunjukan peningkatan nilai posttest pada kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol. Dengan begitu dapat dikatakan bahwa Metode Demonstrasi lebih efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran kosakata. ---; This research is motivated by students’ difficulties in learning Arabic, especially in the vocabulary mastery. The researcher therefore believes that it is important to examine the problems found in the field, and the use the method of demonstration was the researcher’s solution. Demonstration method is a method of teaching by demonstrating how objects, events, rules and order do an activity, either directly or through the use of relevant teaching media and subject matter or the material being presented. The method used in this research was Quasi Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design Method which emphasizes to the analysis on numerical data. The results show there is an increase in the grade of post-test in experimental group which is greater than the control groupclass. Thus, it can be said that the demonstration method is more effective to be applied in the vocabulary learning.
