Abstract

Kesetaraan dan keadilan gender di Indonesia masih rendah berdasarkan Global Gender Gap Report, World Economic Forum tahun 2015 (peringkat ke 92 dari 145 negara). Rendahnya kesetaraan dan keadilan gender disebabkan lekatnya stereotip gender dalam masyarakat. Panti asuhan sebagai lembaga yang menyediakan agen sosialisasi pengganti bagi anak yatim, piatu, dhuafa perlu berupaya meminimalisir dan menghapus stereotip gender melalui sosialisasi gender pada anak asuh. Tujuan penelitian, mengetahui sosialisasi gender di panti asuhan putri Aisyiyah Kota Tegal masihkah melanggengkan stereotip gender dan mengetahui upaya yang dapat meminimalisir/menghapus stereotip gender di panti asuhan. Metode yang digunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian yakni informan kunci (pengasuh dan anak asuh) dan informan pendukung (pimpinan, pengurus/karyawan panti asuhan). Hasil penelitian, (1)Proses sosialisasi peran gender pada anak asuh dilakukan dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai yang mendukung peran domestik perempuan (kefeminiman, keterampilan domestik) dan yang mendukung kiprah di ranah publik (kemandirian, kedisiplinan, kepemimpinan), (2)Pola sosialisasi gender pada anak di panti asuhan adalah campuran pola represif dan partisipatif, (3)Upaya panti asuhan meminimalisir dan menghapus stereotip gender adalah dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai yang lekat dengan maskulinitas, meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya anak asuh melalui pendidikan, menambah wawasan anggota panti asuhan tentang kesetaraan dan keadilan gender. Rekomendasi yang diajukan, dilakukan upaya lebih panti asuhan untuk meminimalisir/menghapus stereotip gender, peningkatan sosialisasi adil gender dalam pendidikan oleh pemerintah, dilakukan penelitian lanjutan mengkaji upaya efektif untuk mewujudkan kesetaraan dan keadilan gender di Indonesia. ;---Gender equity and equality in Indonesia is still low by the Global Gender Gap Report, the World Economic Forum in 2015 (ranked 92nd out of 145 countries). Lack of gender equality and equity due to adherence of gender stereotypes in society. The orphanage as institutions that provide socialization agent replacement for orphans, orphan, poor should seek to minimize and remove gender stereotypes through gender socialization in foster care. The purpose of research, know the gender socialization orphanage Aisyiyah daughter is it still perpetuate gender stereotypes and know the effort to minimize/remove gender stereotypes in the orphanage. The method used qualitative phenomenological approach. The research subject that is of key informants (caregivers and foster care) and informant support (leadership, management/employee orphanage). The results of the study, (1) The process of socialization of gender roles in foster care performed by instilling values that support the roles and responsibilities of women (feminine traits, domestic skills) and supporting progress in the public sphere (self-reliance, discipline, leadership), (2) Patterns gender socialization in children at an orphanage is a mixed pattern of repressive and participatory, (3) efforts orphanage minimize and remove gender stereotypes is to instill the values attached to masculinity, improving resource quality foster care through education, broaden the member orphanage about equality and gender justice. Recommendations put forward, efforts were made over the orphanage to minimize/remove gender stereotypes, increase socialization of gender equity in education by the government, further research examines effective efforts to achieve gender equality and justice in Indonesia.
