Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode brainstoming terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik ditinjau dari kemampuan awal peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian faktorial 2x2. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 64 peserta didik kelas X IPS yang berasal dari 2 kelas di SMA N 1 Cisarua. Kedua kelas diberikan pretes dan posttes. Pada kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran menggunakan metode brainstroming, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol menggunakan metode konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diberikan perlakuan dengan metode brainstroming lebih tinggi dari kelas konvensional serta terdapat interaksi antara metode brainstorming, pengetahuan awal dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik.;---This study aims to determine the effect of the method brainstoming the critical thinking skills of students in terms of the ability of initial knowledge learners. This research is an experimental study with a 2x2 factorial design study. These samples included 64 students of class X IPS derived from two classes in SMA N 1 Cisarua. Both classes are given pre-test and posttes. In the experimental group was given treatment using the method of brainstorming learning, whereas the control group using conventional methods. The results showed an increase in critical thinking skills of learners who are given treatment by the method of brainstorming higher than conventional class and there is interaction between the method of brainstorming, initial knowledge and critical thinking skills of learners.
