Abstract

Rendahnya prestasi belajar, minat serta motivasi siswa pada mata pelajaran dasar proses pengolahan menjadi akar permasalahan pada penelitian ini hal tersebut dapat diketahui dari 35 siswa hanya 18 siswa saja yang mencapai KKM. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran dasar proses pengolahan khususnya pada kompetensi dasar pengemasan. Berdasarkan permasalahan dan tujuan di atas, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart dengan empat komponen yakni 1). Perencanaan, 2). Aksi/tindakan, 3). Observasi, dan 4). Refleksi. Model pembelajaran project based learning (PjBL) mampu meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa hal tersebut diketahui dengan jumlah siswa yang mencapai nilai di atas KKM yaitu 30 dari 32 siswa. Hasil analisis data menggunakan rumus Normalized Gain didapatkan hasil yang mengindikasikan peningkatan hasil belajar berada pada kriteria sedang. Hasil keterampilan siswa masuk kategori baik, karena nilai rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 82,75, maka seluruh siswa sudah cukup kompeten dalam kompetensi dasar pengemasan.;--- Low learning achievement, interest and student motivation become the basis of the problem in this research. It can be seen from 35 students, only 18 the students reach minimum completeness criteria. The purpose of this study was to improve student achievement in the subject of basic food processing specifically on the basis of packaging competency. Based on the problem and objective, the research method was classroom action research model adapted from classroom action research by Mc Taggart and Kemmis models with four components: 1). Planning, 2). Action, 3). Observation, and 4). Reflection. The project based learning model could improve the student achievement. The result showed that 30 in 32 students achieved grades above minimum completeness criteria. The results of data analysis using the formula Normalized Gain indicated that the learning outcome was increased and categorized as medium criteria. The results of the student's skills was categorized as good criteria, because the value of the overall average was 82.75, then all of the students were already almost competent in basic packaging competency.
