Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang “Penerapan Model Pembelajaran POE untuk meningkatkan Penguasaan Konsep Siswa SMP pada Pokok Bahasan Fluida. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya penguasaan konsep siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep Fisika pada materi Fluida dengan menerapkan model Pembelajaran POE pada pokok bahasan Fluida. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode pre experiment dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest (one group pretest-posttest). Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak tiga pertemuan di salah satu SMP Negeri di kota Bandung dengan kelas VIII sebagai sampel penelitian. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan didapat bahwa nilai gain yang dinormalisasi sebesar 0,36 dengan interpretasi sedang. Sedangkan persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran Fisika dengan model pembelajaran POE pada pertemuan pertama sebesar 100% dan pertemuan kedua 88,9%. Peningkatan penguasaan konsep setiap aspek konitif yang diteliti secara berurutan, yaitu aspek kognitif C1 sebesar 0,51; C2 sebesar 0,40; C3 sebesar 0,36 dan C4 sebesar 0,39 dalam kategori sedang juga Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran POE dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa dan dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di kelas sebagai salah satu solusi model pembelajaran di kelas.;--- In this research, the research about “the application of POE’s learning to improve the understanding of fluidaas the topic of learning for junior high school students” has been conducted . The background of this research is the lack of student’s understanding to this concept. The purpose of this research is to improve the understanding of physics’ concept to fluida as leraning’s topic by applying POE’s learning. The method which is used in this research is pre experiment with pretest-posttest (one group pretets-posttest) design. There are three meetings which are conducted for this research by visiting one of public junior high school in Bandung where eight gradeis chosen to be the sample.Based on the research, the gain value which is normalized is 0,36 with middlestage interpretation. Meanwhile, the percentage of phisics’s learning by using POE’s concept in the first meeting is 100 % and in the second meeting is 88,9 %. The escalation of the concept understanding in every cognitif’s aspect is analyzed subsequently, cognitive C1 is 0,51 ; C2 is 0,40 ; C3 is 0,36 and C4 is 0,39 in middle category too. From this research, it can be concluded that POE’s learning method can improve students understanding and can be applied in the class as one of solution concept in the learning .
