Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan, menganalisa dan menguji pengaruh kepribadian, motivasi, hubungan antar karyawan dan keterikatan karyawan terhadap prestasi kerja perawat Rumah Sakit Advent. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasional dengan metode survei eksplanatori. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dan wawancara. Populasi penelitian adalah 672 perawat tetap yang bekerja di rumah sakit Advent Medan, Rumah Sakit Advent Bandar Lampung, Rumah Sakit Advent Bandung dan Rumah Sakit Advent Manado. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah proporsionate random cluster sampling, dan penetapan unit sampel menggunakan rumus Taro Yamahe, diperoleh responden 418. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan struktural variabel kepribadian secara parsial berpengaruh negatif baik terhadap hubungan antar karyawan, maupun kinerja, tetapi secara simultan dengan variabel motivasi, menunjukkan pengaruh yang positif terhadap hubungan antar karyawan, demikian juga variabel kepribadian secara parsial tidak berpengaruh terhadap keterikatan, tetapi secara simultan dengan variabel motivasi, menunjukkan pengaruh yang positif pada variabel keterikatan. Variabel motivasi secara parsial berpengaruh positif terhadap hubungan antar karyawan dan keterikatan karyawan tetapi tidak berpengaruh kepada kinerja. Hubungan antar karyawan berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja dan keterikatan karyawan berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja. Sebahagian temuan penelitian ini mendukung teori yang melandasinya yaitu hubungan antar karyawan, keterikatan merupakan prediktor valid terhadap kinerja. Motivasi merupakan prediktor valid hubungan antar karyawan dan keterikatan karyawan sedangkan sebahagian temuan menolak teori yaitu kepribadian bukan prediktor valid terhadap hubungan antar karyawan, keterikatan karyawan dan kinerja, hubungan antar karyawan bukan prediktor valid terhadap keterikatan karyawan dan motivasi bukan prediktor valid terhadap kinerja. ;---This study aimed to describe, analyse, and test the effect of personality traits, work motivation, employee relationship and employee engagement on employee performance of Adventist Hospital nurses. Correlational with explanatory survey method used as research design. The instrument used in this study were questionnaires and interviews. Population of this study consist 672 nurses who worked at Medan Adventist Hospital, Bandar Lampung, Bandung and Manado and Sample size was 418 nurses. Random proportionate cluster sampling used for sample selection, using Yamahe Taro formula. The finding showed that in structural relationship, personality partially had negative influence on employee relations and performance but simultaneously with motivation showed positive effect on employee relations, as well as personality partially had no effect on employee engagement, but simultaneously with motivation showed positive effect on employee engagement. Motivation partially had positive effect on employee relations and employee engagement but had no effect on performance. Employee relations positively effect on performance and employee engagement positively effect on performance. Most of the study supported theory, employee relations, employee engagement were valid predictor on performance. Motivation was a valid predictor of employee relations and employee engagement, while some of the finding rejected theory personality was not a valid predictor of the relationship between employees, employee engagement and performance, employee relations was not a valid predictor on employee engagement, and motivation was not a valid predictor on performance.
