Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang peneliti temukan saat melakukan pengamatan. Penelitian bertujuan menguji efektivitas model belajar berpikir induktif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI Jurusan Pemasaran SMKN Rajapolah Tasikmalaya. Jenis dan rancangan penelitian berupa penelitian eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan design nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas paralel, satu kelas sebagai kelas kontrol dan satu kelas yang lain sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pada kelas eksperimen diterapkan model belajar berpikir induktif. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI Jurusan Pemasaran SMKN Rajapolah, Tasikmalaya, dengan sampel dua kelas yang masing-masing berjumlah 38 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes hasil belajar dan data dianalisis dengan statistik Uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil pengolahan statistik dan analisis isi mengindikasikan bahwa model belajar berpikir induktif signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan membantu siswa untuk menampilkan proses dalam membuat pernyataan dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang belajar dengan model belajar berpikir induktif dan siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional.;--- The basic of this observation is the low condition of the students critical thinking skill that the researcher found when did observation. This study was aimed to effectiveness of inductive thinking learning models in improving critical thinking skills at eleventh grade of SMK Rajapolah Tasikmalaya marketing program. This study belonged to the quasi-experiment using the nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The study used two parallel classes, one class as a control group and the other as an experimental group. At experimental groups were applied inductive thinking learning learning models. The population was all students of XI marketing program in SMK Rajapolah, Tasikmalaya, with samples of two classes, each consisting of 38 people. The data were collected using a learning achievement test and analyzed using mann-whitney-test statistic. The results from the inferential statistical analysis and content analysis indicate: the facilitation of inductive thinking learning models significantly improved students’ criticall thinking skills and helped students demonstratecritical thinking skills at a higher level in the process of making judgments and decisions. The findings showed that there was a differences in the critical thinking skill of the using inductive thinking learning models and those learning using the direct instructional model.
