Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara coping strategy dan self-efficacy dengan kecemasan pada karyawan usia produktif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 234 individu yang berusia 25-44 tahun dan sudah bekerja. Penelitian dilakukan di Bandung Raya dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Peneliti menggunakan skala Brief COPE untuk mengukur coping strategy dari sampel, GSE (General Self-Efficacy) untuk mengukur keyakinan responden mengenai kemampuannya, dan STAI (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory) untuk mengukur tingkat kecemasan yang dialami oleh sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa problem-focused coping dan self-efficacy memiliki hubungan yang negatif dengan kecemasan pada karyawan di usia produktif, karyawan yang memiliki self efficacy yang tinggi dan seringkali menggunakan problem-focused coping memiliki tingkat kecemasan yang lebih rendah. Lain halnya dengan karyawan usia produktif yang sering melakukan less useful coping, mereka dilaporkan memiliki tingkat kecemasan yang tinggi, hal ini dikarenakan less useful coping memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan kecemasan.;---This study is conducted to determine the relationship between coping strategies and self-efficacy, and the anxiety of productive age employees. The sample of this study consists of 234 workers at age 25 to 44 years old. The study is conducted in Bandung Raya, and the data are collected by using questionnaire. The researcher uses the Brief COPE scale to measure the coping strategy of samples, GSE (General Self-Efficacy) to measure respondents' beliefs about their capabilities, and STAI (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory) to measure the level of anxiety experienced by the sample.The study shows that problem-focused coping and self-efficacy have a negative correlation with the anxiety of productive age employees. Employees who have high self-efficacy and often use problem-focused coping tend to have lower levels of anxiety. On the other hand, productive age employees who are often use less useful coping, are reported to have higher levels of anxiety. It is because less useful coping has a positive relationship with anxiety.
