Abstract

Tujuan utama yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah didapatkannya model Self Directed Learning (SDL) untuk meningkatkan keberanian siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent pre test-post test control group design. Adapun subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI Jurusan TGB SMK Negeri Rajapolah Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017, dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 58 siswa, teknik pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang digunakan untuk mengungkap keberanian siswa dikumpulkan melalui instrumen berupa angket dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Data dianalisis dengan teknik membandingkan antara skor tes awal (pre test) dan tes akhir (post test). Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji mann whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model SDL efektif untuk menigkatkan keberanian siswa kelas XI Jurusan TGB SMK Negeri Rajapolah Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka guru dapat mengimplementasikan model SDL ke dalam proses pembelajaran dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan keberanian siswa.;--- The main objective from this research is finding a model Self Directed Learning (SDL) to develop the students' courage. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental research design with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects are eleventh grade students TGB Programs of SMK Negeri Rajapolah 2016/2017, the samples are 58 students, the sampling technique by purposive sampling technique. The data were used to reveal the courage of students gathered through a questionnaire instrument using a Likert scale. Data analyzed by comparing the test scores of the initial (pre-test) and final test (post-test). Data were analyzed using Mann Whitney test. The results showed that SDL model effective to develop student’s courage. Based on the research results, the teacher can implement SDL models into the learning process to develop students' courage.
