Abstract

Jumlah lahan kritis terus ditekan oleh pemerintah Kabupaten Majalengka yaitu dengan memberikan penyuluhan tentang konservasi, terutama kepada petani yang berhubungan langsung mengolah suatu lahan. Salah satu daerah yang memiliki lahan kritis terluas yaitu berada di Desa Kulur Kecamatan Majalengka Kabupaten Majalengka dimana mata pencaharian utamanya adalah petani. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana bentuk partisipasi petani terhadap upaya konservasi, seberapa besar tingkat partisipasinya dan faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi tingkat partisipasi tersebut. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu sampel manusia yang terdiri dari para petani yang tersebar ke dalam enam kelompok tani. Skala likert digunakan sebagai metode untuk mengukur bentuk partisipasi serta tingkat partisipasi, sedangkan untuk mengukur faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat partisipasi digunakan tabulasi silang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk partisipasi tenaga paling dominan dengan kelas interval antara 447,2-584,8 pada kategori tinggi. Tingkat partisipasi paling baik adalah oleh kelompok tani liunggunung dengan skor 2,61 dan kelompok tani telargedang dengan skor 2,902 dengan keduanya berada pada kategori tingkat partisipasi sedang. Faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap tingkat partisipasi tersebut adalah usia, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, pengetahuan dan penghasilan. Faktor yang tidak berpengaruh terhadap tingkat partisipasi adalah asal daerah, luas lahan, dan jenis pekerjaan. Upaya konservasi yang terlihat diantaranya adalah pembuatan kebun rakyat/hutan rakyat dan pembuatan kompos/bokasi yang dilakukan secara swadaya.;---The goverment of Kabupaten Majalengka has gave a socialitation in order to press the number of lands degredation, especially to the farmers who have the field. In Kabupaten Majalengka there is Desa Kulur which has the biggest lands degradation in Kecamatan Majalengka, and many people work in the field there. The purpose of this research is to know how the forms of participation, the level of participation, and factors that influence the level of participation. The sample in this research is the farmers from six groups in Desa Kulur. Scale of likert is used for a method to know how the forms of participation and the level of participation, and cross tabulation is used for which one factors that makes the level of participation. The result of this research is the highest number of form participation by the power with grade interval between 447,2 to 584,8 in the high category. The level of participation from the top are by farmer group of Telargedang with 2,902 and farmer group of Liunggunung with 2,61 which both of them are in average level category. Factors that affected level participation are age, gender, level of eduaction, knowledge, and income. While factors that not affected level of participation are origin area, land area, and job. The conservations in Desa Kulur that got successed are building up the forest and composting.
