Abstract

Untuk sebagian siswa berbicara menjadi salah satu keteremapilan berbahasa yang ditakuti. Mayoritas siswa enggan bahkan menolak keras saat diminta berbicara di depan publik. Umumnya penolakan tersebut dilatarbelakangi rasa takut salah dan malu yang dirasakan oleh siswa. Saat ini, siswa memiliki tingkat kepercayaan diri yang sangat rendah terutama dalam konteks berbicara di depan publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan agar siswa mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan dirinya sebagai modal utama menjadi pembicara yang baik. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode hypnoteaching sugesti bangun untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menceritakan tokoh idola. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penampilan berbicara siswa terus mengalami peningkatan. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat berdasarkan kategori nilai yang diperoleh. Pada siklus terakhir, nilai berbicara siswa 22% berada pada kategori amat baik, kategori baik sebesar 59% dan 19% kategori cukup. Kata kunci: menceritakan tokoh idola, hypnoteaching, sugesti bangun, PTK. Sometimes speaking became the horrible thing for the sutedents Most of the student were not interested or even refused immediately when they were asked to speak in front of the class. Commonly, the refutation came from the students’ anxiety to stay in front of the class. Nowadays, the students tend to have low-self-confidence particulary in the context of speaking in public. This research was conducted to improve the studetns’ convidence as their basic to be a good speaker. This research employed hypnoteaching waking suggestion to develop the students’ ability to tell about their idol. The reseracher used classroom action research method. The result showed that the students’ performance in speaking keep increasing based on the score that they obtained. In the last cycle, 22% of the sudents were in very good category which was they were in the A category, 59% of the studentswere in the good category which was they were in the B category and the rests were in the average categoey which was they were got C category.
