The method used in this research was experimental research. Creativity rubric and matching pretest - posttest as the instruments. The sample was taken by cluster random sampling technique in experimental class (n=24 students) and control class (n=24 students) with the population of 8th grade students at Junior High S chool in Bandung. The students in both of class divided into 4 groups. Experiment class was used pop - up book while control class was used smash book as teaching media. Pop - up book is interesting paper craft with 3D form when the book is open and folded fla t when the book is closed. Smash book is containing information in the form of texts or images from any source with interesting design. The result of the research showed that the creativity of the students in experiment class was 87.5% and in control class was 68%. Generally, students’ product in experiment class showed higher novelty, resolution and elaboration and synthesis domain as the main reference of creativity. Based on the analysis of the students’ understanding results, the N - Gain in experiment cl ass is 0,65 while in control class is 0.58 both of them categories as medium. The improvement of students understanding toward the concept which is plant organs also could be noticed by independent T - test with significant 0.044 which means there was signif icant difference between both of class. It’s conclude that creating pop - up book in learning plant organs is effective.;--- Tujuan dari pen elitian in adalah untuk mengindentifikasi kreativitas dan pemahaman pada materi organ tumbuhan melalui implementasi buku pop - up. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Instrument yang digunakan adalah rubrik kreativitas da n soal pretest dan posttest. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan adalah cluster random sampling di kelas experiment (n=24 peserta didik) dan kelas control (n=24 peserta didik) dengan populasi peserta didik kelas 8 di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Pertam a di Bandung. Peserta didik dari kedua kelas terbagi mejadi empat kelompok di masing - masing kelas. Kelas experiment menggunakan buku pop - up dan kelas control menggunakan kliping sebagai media pembelajaran. Buku pop - up adalah potongan kertas yang menarik da lam bentuk 3D ketika buku dibuka. Buku kliping dalam penelitian ini berisi informasi dalam bentuk tulisan dan gambar dari berbagai sumber dan dibuat dengan desain yang menarik. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan kreativitas peserta didik dari kelas exper iment adalah 87,5% dan kelas kontrol 68%. Peserta didik dari kelas eksperimen menunjukkan hasil yang tinggi pada aspek kebaruan, pemecahan masalah dan kerincian sebagai domain produk kreativitas. Berdasarkan data analisis pemahaman peserta didik, N - gain un tuk kelas eksperimen adalah 0,65 sedangkan kelas control 0,58 dan dikaretorikan sedang. Peningkatan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi organ tumbuhan juga dapat dilihat dari uji independent T - test yang hasilnya 0,044 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan di kedua kelas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembuatan buku pop - up pada materi organ tumbuhan efektif.
