Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh fenomena masyarakat penganyam serat lontar dan pembuat Kapal Phinisi dalam proses transformasi budaya wirausaha. Kedua entitas budaya tersebut memiliki sejarah panjang yang berlangsung sejak zaman dahulu dan merupakan sesuatu yang unik dan menjadi ciri khas bagi wilayah tempat mereka bermukim. Nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam produk anyaman serat lontar dan Kapal Phinisi menjadi kebanggaan bagi masyarakatnya sekaligus merupakan sumber penghasilan ekonomi bagi keluarga mereka. Pola transformasi budaya wirausaha bagi masyarakat pembuat Kapal Phinisi dan penganyam serat lontar pada dasarnya berlangsung melalui proses belajar yang sengaja direncanakan. Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk mengkonstruk proses belajar bertukar pengalaman yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat pembuat Kapal Phinisi dan penganyam serat lontar dalam transfromasi budaya wirausaha. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik penarikan sampel purposive sampling. Penarikan sampel dilakukan pada masyarakat penganyam serat lontar dan pembuat Kapal Phinsi sebanyak 7 orang. Pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder di lapangan digunakan dengan cara observasi, wawancara mendalam (in-depth interview), dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan wirausaha anyaman serat lontar dan pembuatan kapal phinisi di dalamnya terdapat proses belajar bertukar pengalaman yang berlangsung dari generasi tua kepada generasi muda dan antar generasi muda. Melalui proses belajar tersebut, terdapat beberapa budaya wirausaha yang ditransformasi ke dalam diri warga belajar antara lain (1) Rasa percayaan diri berwirausaha, (2) sikap pantang menyerah dan keberanian menanggung resiko, (3) mengedepankan kerja keras, (4) tidak tergantung pada orang lain, (5) selalu berkreasi dan berinovasi dalam menghasilkan produk, (6) menjaga keorisinilan hasil produksi, (7) kemampuan bekerjasama dalam kelompok, (8) berorientasi pada masa depan, serta (9) tidak menyia-nyiakan peluang yang ada. Selain itu, wirausaha anyaman serat lontar dan pembuatan kapal phinisi dapat bertahan menghadapi konteks masyarakat kekinian, karena masyarakat penganyam serat lontar dan pembuat Kapal Phinisi mampu menyesuaikan diri terhadap perkembangan kebutuhan dan selera masyarakat yang dihadapinya.;--- The background to this research is the phenomenon of the community of Palmyra weavers and Phinisi ship makers in the transformation of their entrepreneurship culture. Woven Palmyra fiber and Phinisi are cultural entities that have a long history and have become the hallmarks of their place. The cultural values of woven Palmyra fiber and Phinisi become the pride and simultaneously the source of income for the families. The transformation of the entrepreneurship culture in the community who makes Phinisi and weaves Palmyra fiber basically takes place through planned and deliberate learning process. The purpose of this study is to construct the learning process of experience sharing carried out by the community of Phinisi makers and Palmyra weavers in the transformation of their entrepreneurship culture. The study adopted a qualitative approach with purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of 7 (seven) people who weave Palmyra and make Phinisi. The collection of primary and secondary data from the field was done through observation, in-depth interview, and documentation study. The findings show that the entrepreneurship activity of weaving Palmyra fiber and making Phinisi ship contains learning process of sharing experiences that takes place between the older generation and the younger generation and among the younger generations. Through the learning process, there are some cultures that have been internally transformed in the students, such as: (1) Self-confidence in entrepreneurship, (2) Strong determination and the ability to take a risk, (3) Prioritizing hard work, (4) Independence, (5) Always creating something and making innovations in products, (6) Continuously maintaining the originality of products, (7) Being able to cooperate in group, (8) Always getting oriented towards the future, and (9) Not wasting the existing opportunities. In addition, the business of Palmyra weaving and Phinisi making can survive against the contemporary context due to the ability of the community to adjust and adapt themselves to the evolving needs and taste of the society.
