Abstract

Dalam mengembangkan kompetensi, pembelajar bahasa Jepang perlu memiliki fondasi pemahaman materi dasar yang kuat. Klausa relatif bahasa Jepang adalah klausa subordinatif yang berfungsi menyatakan sifat dari nomina, penanda kala maupun aspek dalam sebuah kalimat. Klausa ini umum muncul dalam bahasa tulisan dan lisan dan dipelajari pada tahapan awal pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode analisis data kualitatif yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan kesalahan dan penyebab terjadinya kesalahan klausa relatif dari mahasiswa bahasa Jepang Unima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pemahaman mahasiswa Unima dan kemampuan menyusun klausa relatif sangat rendah. Terdapat empat jenis kesalahan yang ditemukan pada penelitian ini yakni (1) kesalahan pemahaman dasar yang diantaranya bentuk predikat klausa, bentuk masu, bentuk kata bantu no, kata bantu wa dalam penanda subjek dalam klausa, (2) kesalahan penyusunan klausa, (3) kesalahan penggunaan bentuk kala, dan (4) kesalahan penafsiran klausa relatif dalam terjemahan. Lewat hasil pengolahan data, wawancara dan angket, peneliti menyimpulkan kesalahan klausa relatif oleh pembelajar Unima disebabkan platform pengajaran materi klausa relatif yang terbatas, kurangnya peran dan bimbingan pengajar serta kecenderungan dalam memilih sebuah pola kalimat dalam menyusun sebuah kalimat.;--- In order to elevate the proficiency of Japanese language, a great foundation of basic knowledge is essential these days. Relative clauses is subordinative clauses which is use to explain the feature, and mark the tenses or the aspect of the indicated noun. This clause is commonly used at writings or conversations and learned during the early stage of learning process. This research is a qualitative research that use an qualitative data analyze method to describe and explain the mistake and the cause of it, that happens at Manado State University's Japanese Learner. The result shows that basic knowledge of relative clause of the learners and the ability to compose it was very low. There are four mistakes that found in this research: (1) the mistake of basic knowledge like the form of predicate of the clause, the particle of no, the masu form, the particle that indicates the subject at clause; (2) the mistake of composing the clause, (3) the mistake of tense form, (4) the mistake of interpreting relative clause in translations. After processing the research data, conducting interviews and questionnaire, the writer concludes that the mistakes of applying relative clause by Manado State University's Japanese learners is caused by a very limited platform to teach and learn about the relative clause material. Furthermore, the role and guidance of the teacher was also very little and there is also a tendency of using a particular sentence patterns over other patterns when composing a sentence.
