Abstract
Hutan Cagar Alam Pantai Pangandaran merupakan kawasan konservasi dengan status Cagar Alam. Perilaku harian kadal pohon (Lygosoma sanctum) diperlukan untuk mengetahui kebiasaan kadal pohon yang semakin berkurang dan terabaikan terutama di Pangandaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku harian kadal pohon dan membantu Balai Konservasi mengidentifikasi fauna endemik di hutan Cagar Alam Pantai Pangandaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan di hutan Cagar Alam Pantai Pangandaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode Focal Animal Sampling. Satu individu diamati secara intensif selama 12 jam mulai dari pukul 06.00-17.00 WIB dalam kurun waktu enam hari dan mencatat seluruh aktivitas yang berkaitan dengan proses perilaku harian yang diperlihatkan oleh individu tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku harian kadal pohon meliputi perilaku makan atau mencari mangsa, mempertahankan diri, berjemur serta beristirahat. Secara keseluruhan perilaku harian kadal pohon didominasi oleh perilaku makan atau mencari mangsa sebanyak 50%, perilaku mempertahankan diri sebanyak 30%, perilaku berjemur 10% dan perilaku istirahat 10% dalam kurun waktu 12 jam tersebut. Kesimpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa perilaku harian kadal pohon (Lygosoma sanctum) di Hutan Cagar Alam Pantai Pangandaran memiliki perbedaan dengan reptil lain, dikarenakan reptil ini termasuk reptil endemik yang ada di Indonesia.;--- Natural reservation forest of Pangandaran beach is a conservation area by the natural preservation status. Daily behavioral of tree lizards (Lygosoma sanctum) was required to find out the habits of the tree lizard which was diminished and neglected especially in Pangandaran. This study aims to determine the daily behavioral of tree lizard and to help Conservation Center identifying the endemic of fauna in the natural reservation forest of Pangandaran beach. This research was conducted in the natural reservation forest of Pangandaran beach. The method that has been used in this research is Focal Animal Sampling method. One individual was observed intensively for 12 hours starting at 06:00 until 17:00 pm within a period of six days and recorded all activities relating to the daily behavioral exhibited by the individual. The results showed that the daily behavioral includes behavior tree lizards to eat or find prey, to defend themselves, sunbathing and resting. In overall daily behavioral is dominated by the tree lizard eating and hunting within amount 50%, the behavior of self-defense within amount 30%, 10% of sun-bathing, and 10% of resting behavioral in the 12-hours period. The conclusion from this study is that the daily behavioral of a tree lizard (Lygosoma sanctum) in Natural reservation forest of Pangandaran beach have the differentiation with other reptiles, because in this case the reptiles belong to endemic reptiles that exist in Indonesia.
