Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti tentang penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe peer teaching untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa Sekolah Dasar, dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas V salah satu SD di kecamatan Sukasari Kabupaten Bandung tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe peer teaching dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil pengamatan pada awal penelitian yang menyimpulkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas V salah satu SD di Kecamatan Sukasari masih rendah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus masing-masing siklus mencakup tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, tes evaluasi pembelajaran, dan dokumentasi. Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe peer teaching meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Hal ini didasari oleh rata-rata interpretasi gain dari hasil tes evaluasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada Siklus I ke Siklus II mengalami interpretasi sedang yaitu 0,7. Selain itu, hasil perbandingan observasi pada Siklus I dan Siklus II menunjukan bahwa siswa telah memecahkan masalah matematis melalui tahapan pemecahan yang benar dengan rata-rata presentase ≥ 85 %. Hasil selisih perbandingan tersebut diantaranya; tahap meninjau kembali 66 %, memilih strategi 41 %, menemukan jawaban 33 %, membaca dan berpikir 32 %, dan mengeksplorasi dan merencanakan 31 %. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe peer teaching, harus terdapat siswa yang pandai sehingga dapat menjadi tutor belajar teman kelompoknya.;--- This research examines the application of the cooperative learning model of the type of peer teaching to enhance the ability of mathematical problem solving elementary school students, with a subject that is grade V one elementary school in kecamatan Sukasari Bandung District school year 2015/2016. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the cooperative learning model type peer teaching in enhancing the ability of the mathematical problem solving of students. This event will be based on research by the observations at the beginning of the study concluded that the average mathematical problem solving ability and participation in the activities of learning mathematics grade V one elementary school in Kecamatan Sukasari is still low. The research method used is the Class Action Research was conducted in two cycles each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The technique of collecting data through observation against the ability of mathematical problem solving, test study, evaluation and documentation. Cooperative learning type of peer teaching mathematical problem solving skills of students. It is based on an average gain of interpretation of test results the evaluation of the ability of the mathematical problem solving of students in Cycle I, II Cycle to experience the interpretation being that is 0.7. In addition, the results of the comparison observation on Cycle I and Cycle II indicates that the student has to solve a mathematical problem solving stages right through to the average percentage of ≥ 85%. The results of the comparison of difference among them; 66% review stages, selecting strategies 41%, 33% find the answers, read and think 32%, and explore and plan a 31%. For further application of the learning model researchers cooperative type of peer teaching, must be students who are good at making friends learning tutor group.
