Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi permasalahan di SMALB Citeureup Kota Cimahi dalam pembelajaran keterampilan otomotif yaitu mengenai kemampuan siswa yang belum terampil disebabkan karena proses dan pemilihan metode pembelajaran yang kurang tepat sehingga kemampuan keterampilan siswa tidak berkembang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses penggantian pelumas engine sepeda motor dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi, dan juga untuk mendeskripsikan latensi siswa dan mendeskripsikan perubahan latensi belajar pada siswa tuna grahita ringan dalam kompetensi penggantian pelumas engine sepeda motor. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa tuna grahita ringan, faktor terlambatnya kemampuan otak untuk menangkap pelajaran pada siswa menjadi salah satu penyebab belum optimalnya pembelajaran keterampilan otomotif. Keterampilan yang diteliti adalah keterampilan siswa dalam penggantian pelumas engine sepeda motor karena keterampilan tersebut dianggap lebih mudah diserap oleh siswa tuna grahita ringan. dan Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian subjek tunggal (Single Subject Research), metode penelitian subjek tunggal bertujuan untuk memodifikasi perilaku, pengambilan dan penyajian data dalam metode ini difokuskan untuk melihat perubahan perilaku subjek, apakah ada atau tidaknya pengaruh intervensi terhadap target behavior dalam fase yang telah ditentukan. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain reversal tipe A-B-A, dimana pengukuran fase baseline (A1) dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali, kemudian dilakukan fase intervensi (B) sebanyak empat kali. Lalu dilakukan fase baseline (A2) dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pelaksanaan keterampilan otomotif menggunakan metode demonstrasi mengalami peningkatan, hal tersebut dapat dilihat pada perubahan waktu latensi yang menurun pada keterampilan penggantian pelumas engine sepeda motor.;--- The research is based on problems at SMA-LB Citeureup Cimahi in basic automotive skill learning is about the ability of students who have not skilled because process and learning methods are incefficient, because of that the ability of the student's skills do not going well. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of a motorcycle engine lubricant replacement using the method of demonstration, and also to describe latency on students and describe changes in student llatency earning lightly mentally retarded within the competence of motorcycle engine lubricant replacement. Participants of this study was mild mentally disabled students, the student brain's ability has a limit to capture information, that is one reason why automotive skill learning was not optimal. Skills that were studied on this research were the student's skills in a motorcycle engine lubricant replacement, for those skills considered to be more easy to understand by the mild mentally retarded students. The method used in this research is Single Subject Research, this method intend to modify behavior, where the retrieval and presentation of data in this method focused to see changes in the subject's behavior, whether or not the influence of intervention against targets behavior in the predetermined phase. The study design using the design reversal type A-B-A, wherein phase observation baseline (A1) is performed three times, and then conducted a baseline phase (A2) four times. Then do the baseline phase (A2) is performed three times. Based on the results of the implementation study automotive skills using demonstration method has increased, it can be seen in the changes that decreased latency time on motorcycle engine lubricant replacement skills.
