Abstract
Perceraian orangtua dapat memengaruhi terhadap perkembangan psikologis anak yang berada pada masa transisi menuju dewasa, salah satunya adalah kecemasan. Untuk mengurangi kondisi kecemasan tersebut memerlukan coping positif yang menumbuhkan sikap forgiveness. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara pemaafan (forgiveness) dengan kecemasan (anxiety) pada remaja yang orangtuanya bercerai di SMP Pasundan 6 Bandung. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, metode deskriptif korelasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) tingkat kecenderungan pemaafan (forgiveness) pada remaja yang orangtuanya bercerai di SMP Pasundan 6 Bandung berada pada kategori sedang, (2) tingkat kecenderungan kecemasan (anxiety) pada remaja yang orangtuanya bercerai di SMP Pasundan 6 Bandung berada pada kategori sedang, (3) hubungan antara variabel kecenderungan pemaafan (forgiveness) dengan kecenderungan kecemasan (anxiety) tidak searah dan rendah, (4) Kecenderungan pemaafan (forgiveness) memberikan konstribusi rendah terhadap kecenderungan kecemasan (anxiety).;---Parents’ divorce can affect the psychological development of children who are in the transition to adulthood; one of the effects is anxiety. To reduce anxiety, positive coping that develops forgiveness is required. The research aims to find the correlation between forgiveness and anxiety in adolescents whose parents are divorced at SMP Pasundan 6 Bandung. It was conducted with quantitative approach and descriptive correlational method. The findings show that: (1) The level of forgiveness tendency of adolescents whose parents are divorced at SMP Pasundan 6 Bandung was at the moderate category; (2) The level of anxiety tendency of adolescents whose parents are divorced at SMP Pasundan 6 Bandung was at the moderate category; (3) The correlation between the variables of forgiveness tendency and anxiety tendency was not unidirectional and low; and (4) Forgiveness tendency had low contribution to anxiety tendency.
