Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi asumsi yang menyatakan bahwa berpikir tentang masa depan penting bagi remaja karena hal tersebut berkaitan dengan hal-hal penting yang memengaruhi kehidupan dewasa mereka nanti, seperti pekerjaan/karir masa depan. Keterhubungan sekolah diidentifikasi dapat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap orientasi masa depan, seperti memberikan rasa aman bagi remaja untuk mengeksplorasi pilihan masa depan. Secara umum penelitian dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui kontribusi keterhubungan sekolah (school connectedmness) terhadap orientasi masa depan bidang pekerjaan siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan studi deskriptif, dan desain statistik korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan sampling populasi sebanyak 170 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) secara umum keterhubungan sekolah (school connectedness) siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Bandung berada pada kategori positif, (2) secara umum orientasi masa depan bidang pekerjaan siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Bandung berada pada kategori jelas, (3) terdapat kontribusi positif dan signifikan keterhubungan sekolah (school connectedness) sebesar 22,3% terhadap orientasi masa depan bidang pekerjaan siswa. Bermakna bahwa keragaman skor orientasi masa depan siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Bandung ditentukan oleh keteruhubungan sekolah (school connectedness) yang dirasakan siswa sebesar 22,3%. Hasil analisis penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan rujukan atau pertimbangan kondisi siswa sebagai fokus bantuan layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling. ;---This study based on the assumption that thinking about the future is important for adolescent, because it is related with some important matters that can be affected for their adult life such as job or future career. School connectedness identified can provide positive influence towards the future orientation, such as giving a sense of security for adolescent to explore the future options. Generally, the purpose of study was to determine the contribution of school connectedness towards future work orientation (descriptive study in student of class XI at Senior High School 6 Bandung on academic year 2015/2016). The research was using quantitative approach by applying descriptive study and statistical design correlational. The sample was using a random sampling technique by set 170 students. The result show: (1) As general, student’s school connectedness of class XI at Senior High School 6 Bandung on Academic Year 2015/2016 are in the positive category, (2) Generally, student’s future work orientation of class XI at Senior High School 6 Bandung on Academic Year 2015/2016 are in the clear category, (3) There is obtained 22,3% from a positive contribution and significant of school connectedness towards student’s future work orientation. It means that the varieties score of student’s future work orientation of class XI at Senior High School 6 Bandung on Academic Year 2015/2016 determined by school connectedness which perceived by student of 22,3%. This result of study can be used as references or any consideration of the student’s condition as the focus of guidance and counseling services.
