Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perilaku vandalisme yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik kelasVIII- C SMP Negeri 26 Bandung di lingkungan sekolah terutama di ruang kelas. Perilaku vandalisme menjadi salah satu pengalihan dari perhatian peserta didik di kelas pada saat proses kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung. Perilaku vandalisme yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik di kelas dapat di terlihat pada meja, kursi, tembok bahkan pintu kelas. Coretan-coretan yang dibuat oleh peserta didik merupakan bentuk ekspresi yang dirasakan oleh peserta didik. Perilaku vandalisme tersebut mengakibatkan kelas menjadi terilihat kotor dan kumuh. Media yang dipilih adalah media poster yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan yang terdapat di kelas. Poster dapat menjadi upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam mengurangi perilaku vandalisme yang dilakukan peserta didik, karena dengan penggunaan media poster ini dapat mengalihkan perilaku vandalisme siswa di kelas karena tidak memiliki antusias dan motivasi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran menjadi lebih berantusias dan termotivasi sehingga perhatiannya teralihkan pada media poster. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan desain penelitian model siklus yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Taggart yang terdiri dari tiga siklus. Pada siklus pertama, dalam mengurangi perilaku vandalisme peserta didik berada pada kategori “Cukup”. Pada siklus kedua mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan sehingga nilai yang diperoleh mejadi “Baik”. Pada siklus ketiga mengalami peningkatan kembali dan dapat bertahan pada kategori “Baik”. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media poster dapat mengurangi perilaku vandalisme peserta didik.;---The background of this study is vandalism behavior acted by the students of grade VIII-C in SMP Negeri 26 Bandung in the school environment especially in the class. Vandalism behavior is a diversion of the mind by the students when learning activity takes place. The students’ vandalism behavior in the class is seen from the tables, chairs, wall, and the door of the class. The scratches made by the students are the forms of expression felt by them. This vandalism behavior makes the class to be dirty and grubby. The chosen medium is the poster that relates to the problems in the class. Using poster can be an effort from the teacher to decrease vandalism behavior conducted by the students since it can divert the students who do not have enthusiasm and motivation to participate in the learning activity. The students are more enthusiastic and motivated, so that their attention can be diverted through the medium of poster. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research with the design of cycle model developed by Kemmis and Taggart that consists of three cycles. In the first cycle, in decreasing the students’ vandalism behavior is categorized “fair”. In the second cycle, there is significant improvement so that the score obtained is “good”. In the third cycle, there is also improvement and stays in ‘good’ category. Therefore, the use of poster medium can decrease the students’ vandalism behavior.
