Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SDN S yang masih rendah. Hal ini diduga karena proses pembelajaran matematika masih menggunakan metode konvensional, untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut peneliti melakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menerapkan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan PTK ini mendiskripsikan penerapan pendekatan RME untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika di Sekolah Dasar yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan peningkatan hasil belajar. Model PTK yang digunakan adaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart meliputi 4 tahap penelitian yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian terdiri dari tiga siklus. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V di SDN S Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan lembar observasi sedangkan untuk data kuantitatif dibantu dari tes. Pengolahan data kualitatif dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, klasifikasi data, display data, interpretasi data dan refleksi. Sedangkan pengolahan data kuantitatif dilakukan dengan cara menghitung rata-rata nilai siswa dan menghitung presentase ketuntasan belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar pada siklus I sebesar 76,55%, siklus II 85,5%, dan siklus III 90,4%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan RME meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V di SDN S.;--- This research was motivated by the results of learning mathematics Elementary School S 5th grade students is still low. It is apparently on the process of learning mathematics that still use conventional methods, to resolve this problem researchers Class Action Research (PTK) by applying the approach Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) in mathematics. The purpose of this PTK describe approach implementation RME to improve learning outcomes in elementary school mathematics that includes planning, implementation, and improvement of learning outcomes. The model PTK is use to adapt the model Kemmis and Mc.Taggart’s which includes four stages of research including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study consisted of three cycles. Participants in this study were students of class 5th SDN S Bandung the 36 students. Data collector using observation sheet while for assisted quantitative data from the test. Qualitative data processing is done by the data reduction, data classification, display of data, data interpretation and reflection. While quantitative data processing is done by calculating the average value of students and calculate the precentage of students learning completeness students. The results showed an increase learning outcomes cycle I has reached 76.55%, cycle II 85.50% and cycle III 90.4%. Based on these results we can conclude that the RME approach increase the activity and learning outcomes mathematics 5th grade students at SDN S.
