Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar IPA kelas IV pada materi perubahan gerak akibat pengaruh udara belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) yang telah ditentukan yaitu 75. Hal tersebut terjadi karena guru hanya menerapkan metode ceramah di kelas. Maka dari itu untuk mengoptimalkan aktivitas guru dan siswa diterapkanlah metode demonstrasi dengan tahapan seperti perencanaan yang terdiri dari merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran, mempertimbangkan alat dan bahan yang digunakan, memperhitungkan waktu pelaksanaan, menetapkan garis besar langkah-langkah demonstrasi. Tahap pelaksanaan terbagi tiga yaitu pembukaan, pelaksanaan, dan penutupan. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang pelaksanaan dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV mata pelajaran IPA pada materi perubahan gerak akibat pengaruh udara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas Spiral yang dikemukakan oleh Kemmis dan McTaggart yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadinya peningkatan persentase dari data awal yaitu 27,6% dengan rata-rata 68,5 meningkat menjadi 66,7% dengan rata-rata 74,6 (kategori baik) pada siklus I. Pada siklus II, persentase belajar siswa meningkat menjadi 88,9% dengan rata-rata 84,4 (kategori baik sekali). Terbukti ativitas guru dan siswa berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa bahwa penerapan metode demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar pada mata pelajaran IPA.; This research is motivated by Science learning outcomes of fourth grade on material changes in motion under the influence of the air has not reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) which has been determined to be 75. This happens because teachers simply applying a lecture in class. Therefore, in order to optimize the activities of teachers and students. Demonstration method is implemented with stages such as planning consists of formulating learning objectives, consider the tools and materials used, taking into account the time of execution, set the outline of the steps demonstrations and the implementation stage. It is implementation divided into three step namely the opening, core, and closure. The purpose of this study was to gain an overview of the implementation and improvement of fourth grade student learning outcomes on science subjects in the material changes due to the influence of air movement. The method used in this research is the Classroom Action Research Spiral Model proposed by Kemmis and McTaggart consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Based on the results of the research showed that an increasing percentage of the initial data is 27.6% with an average of 68.5 increased to 66.7% with an average of 74.6 (good category) in cycle I, then increased to 88.9%, with an average of 84.4 (very good category) in cycle II. It is proven that teacher and student activities influence on student learning outcomes that the implementation of demonstration methods to improve learning outcomes of fourth grade students of elementary school in science subjects.
