Abstract

Penelitian yang dilaksanakan disalah satu SD di kota Bandung ini, dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V terhadap materi pesawat sederhana, yaitu 45% siswa yang mencapai KKM, sedangkan ketentuan batas ketuntasan belajar IPA di SD adalah 70%. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VB yang berjumlah 33 orang siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD S Bandung; dan (2) menganalisis peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas V setelah penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dengan melaksanakan dua siklus, dengan menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) Kemmis & Taggart. Pengolahan data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif dan hasil belajar afektif siswa setelah penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri. Pada Siklus I persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar kognitif siswa adalah 51,51% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas adalah 66,53 dan mengalami peningkatan menjadi 90,9% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 83,06 pada siklus II. Sedangkan hasil belajar afektif siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata kelas hasil belajar afektif siswa pada siklus I adalah 10,72 dan pada siklus II menjadi 12,67. Dari hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V.; Studies conducted in one elementary school in this city, against the background by low yields fifth grade science students learn the material simple plane, ie 45% of students who reached the KKM, while the boundary conditions of mastery learning science in elementary school is 70%. Based on these problems, then the classroom action research conducted by conducting two cycles, using the design of classroom action research (PTK) Kemmis & Taggart. Processing of the data used is descriptive data analysis of quantitative and qualitative. Results of research conducted showed an increase in cognitive learning outcomes and affective student learning outcomes after the implementation of inquiry learning model. In the first cycle the percentage of completeness cognitive achievement of students is 51.51% with an average grade is 66.53 and increased to 90.9% with an average grade 83.06 on the second cycle. While affective learning outcomes of students also increased with an average grade of affective learning outcomes of students in the first cycle was 10.72 and the second cycle into 12.67. From these results, it can be concluded that the inquiry learning model can improve learning outcomes grade science students V.
