Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara compulsive buying dengan disonansi kognitif pada pengguna kartu kredit di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 206 pengguna kartu kredit di Kota Bandung. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah skala compulsive buying dari Elizabeth E. Edwards (1993) yang diadaptasi oleh Hamanda Kesumaratih (2008) dan skala disonansi kognitif dari Soutar & Sweeney (2003) yang telah diadaptasi oleh Ires Dwi Iftitah (2014). Teknik korelasi yang digunakan adalah korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah terdapat hubungan antara compulsive buying dan disonansi kogntif dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,163 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,019 antara compulsive buying dan disonansi kognitif.; This research aimed to find out the relationship between compulsive buying with Cognitive Dissonance in Credit Card Purchase Behavior in Bandung. The method used is quantitative research methods . The sample in this study is 206 credit card users in Bandung . Instruments in this study is the scale of compulsive buying of Elizabeth E. Edwards (1993 ) , adapted by Hamanda Kesumaratih (2008 ) and the scale of cognitive dissonance of Soutar & Sweeney (2003 ) which has been adapted by Ires Dwi Iftitah ( 2014). The correlation technique used is the Pearson Product Moment Correlation . The result is an association between compulsive buying and dissonance kogntif with a correlation coefficient of 0.163 with a significance value of 0.019 between compulsive buying and cognitive dissonance.
