Abstract

Skripsi dengan judul “Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE)” merupakan penelitian eksperimental yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI program keahlian Teknik Instalasi Pemanfaatan Tenaga Listrik di SMK Negeri 4 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dan untuk membandingkan perbedaan hasil prestasi belajar antara siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) dengan siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu pengaruh penerapan strategi pembelajaran (SFAE) ini dalam meningkatkan minat siswa untuk untuk lebih aktif, yaitu dalam hal menyampaikan pendapat/ide, memberi tanggapan, dan menjawab pertanyaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental design. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan dua perlakuan berbeda terhadap dua kelompok siswa. Pertama, kelompok eksperimen mendapatkan pengajaran dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran aktif (SFAE). Kedua, kelompok kontrol menggunakan strategi pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari rata-rata peningkatan (gain) antara yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) dengan yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran konvensional. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan strategi pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) dimana siswa dapat menyampaikan pendapat/ide, memberi tanggapan sebanyak-banyaknya untuk didiskusikan bersama-sama dan dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar pada standar kompetensi “Menjelaskan dan Memasang Instalasi Lampu Penerangan pada Bangunan Gedung” lebih baik dibandingkan strategi pembelajaran konvensional.; Thesis research titled "Implementation of Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) Learning Model" is an experimental research conducted in XI grade student program Installation Engineering Exploitation of Electricity in SMK Negeri 4 Bandung academic in 2015/2016. This research was conducted to gain an overview of improving student learning outcomes and to compare differences in the results of learning achievement between students who use learning strategies and Explaining Student Facilitator (SFAE) with students who use conventional learning strategies. This study aims to find out the effect of the application of learning strategies (SFAE) to increase the interest of students to be more active, namely in terms of expression / ideas, giving feedback, and answer questions. The method used is a quasi-experimental design. The study was conducted by giving two different treatment of two groups of students. First, the experimental group getting lectures with active learning strategies (SFAE). Second, the control group using conventional learning strategies. The results showed that there are significant differences in student learning outcomes seen from the average increase (gain) between the use of learning strategies and Student Facilitator Explaining (SFAE) with the use of conventional learning strategies. From these results it can be concluded that the learning strategy Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) where students can express opinions / ideas, giving feedback as much as possible to discuss together and can assist students in improving learning outcomes in competency standards "Explaining and Installing Lightning Installation in Buildings" is better than conventional learning strategies.
