Abstract

Pada pertengahan tahun 1990 munculah Boarding school yang memiliki pola pendidikan menyeluruh untuk menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang ideal dalam mengembangkan dan membina karakter siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Bandung misi yang berkaitan erat dengan pengembangan sikap empati dan kepedulian sosial yaitu “Menumbuh kembangkan kepedulian pada sesama melalui pendekatan emotional intelligence dan spiritual intelligence”. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif untuk menggali dan memahami kenyataan-kenyataan yang terjadi secara intensif dan mendalam berkenaan dengan integrasi pendidikan karakter pada tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pada pembelajaran PKn, program ekstrakurikuler dan budaya sekolah di sekolah tersebut. Bentuk-bentuk sikap empati dan kepedulian sosial yang tercermin di SMP Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Bandung dalam kegiatan pembelajaran PKn yaitu: menghargai perbedaan pendapat, bekerja sama dalam tim diskusi, ungkapan pendapat siswa atas pertimbangan moral untuk lebih mementingkan kepentingan orang lain terlebih dahulu. Kemudian, dalam program ekstrakurikuler yaitu turut berpartisipasi dalam aktivitas pengumpulan dana dan kegiatan sosial. Melaui budaya sekolah dan asrama para siswa tercermin sikap empati dan peduli sosial dengan memberikan bantuan merawat jika ada yang sakit, memberikan pinjaman uang, memberikan motivasi dikala ada teman yang sedih, peka terhadap permasalah orang-orang yang disekitarnya.; In the middle of 1990 were built boarding school having a pattern of education thorough to create educational environment ideal in developing and to create character of students. This study was conducted in junior high school Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Bandung mission who are closely related with the development of an empathy behavior and social care awareness concern namely “ For developed concern to our persuasion emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence”. In this study adopted qualitative approaches and methods of descriptive for digging and understand reality in life that occurs in an intensive manner and deep with regard to integration character education in the planning stages, the implementation of the, and evaluation in learning civic education, extracurricular program and cultural schools at the school. Forms an empathy and social care that reflected in junior high school Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Bandung in learning activities civic education: appreciate a difference of opinion, to cooperate in team discussion, an expression of opinion students over a moral to prioritize the interests of others first .Then, in the program extracurricular namely participating in the activity of gathering funds and social activities. The culture of schools and dormitory the students reflected an empathy and socially responsible by providing aid tending if is sick, provide loans money, motivate have a friend sad, sensitive to problem those who around. Although there is still several things must be repaired next in system learning character in schools that integrated with curriculum based the value of a character in boarding. So, it will more strengthen in developing an empathy and social care awareness students.
