Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang penerapan metode pembelajaran Reading, Presenting, and Questioning (RPQ) untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa SMP. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu MTs di Singaparna Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu (quasy experiment) dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data adalah lembar observasi keterlaksanaan metode pembelajaran Reading, Presenting, and Questioning (RPQ), dan tes pilihan ganda hasil belajar ranah kognitif pada materi sistem tata surya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode RPQ dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep fisika. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai gain ternormalisasai skor pretest dan posttest yaitu sebesar 0,60 dengan kategori sedang.; This study aims to achieve the description about the implementation of the Reading, Presenting, and Questioning (RPQ) method to improve junior high school students’ physics concept mastery. This study was conducted in one of the MTs in Singaparna Tasikmalaya Regency. Quasy experiment method was used with one group pretest-posttest design. The instruments employed in collecting data are the implementing form of the Reading, Presenting, and Questioning (RPQ) method, and multiple choice task learning result in cognitive domain in the solar system subject. The result of the study shows that the implementation of the Reading, Presenting, and Questioning (RPQ) method improved students’ physics concept mastery. This improvement can be viewed from normalized gain pretest and posttest scores in the amount of 0.60 with medium category.
