Abstract
Kecamatan Lembang memiliki air yang melimpah untuk dimanfaatkan oleh masyakarakat sekitar, namun dalam pemanfaatannya terdapat berbagai masalah. Masalah yang diteliti di lokasi penelitian adalah besar kebutuhan air bersih bagi masyarakat, tingkat pemenuhan yang mampu diberikan oleh jaringan PDAM dan bagaimana upaya- upaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih bagi yang tidak terlayani PDAM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung berapa besar kebutuhan air bersih serta menghitung tingkat pemenuhan yang mampu disediakan oleh PDAM dan mendeskripsikan upaya-upaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bagi yang belum terlayani di Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey. Sampel yang diambil oleh peneliti berada di lokasi perkotaan Lembang yang meliputi Desa Lembang, Gudang kahuripan, Mekarwangi, Kayuambon dan Jayagiri dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 123 responden. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis tabel silang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata besar kebutuhan air di lokasi penelitian sebesar 82,62 liter/hari/orang. Tingkat Pelayanan PDAM di perkotaan lembang sebesar 37,62 % hanya mampu melayani pelanggan sebanyak 930 pelanggan, agar semua pelanggan terbagi rata maka jumlah yang mampu diberikan sebanyak 30,72 liter/hari/orang untuk jumlah pelanggan sebanyak 2500 pelanggan. Agar terpenuhinya kebutuhan air bersih upaya yang banyak dilakukan oleh masyarakat Lembang dengan cara menghemat penggunaan air bersih. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini bagi masyarakat yang mengikuti langganan PDAM dan pihak PDAM sebaiknya mencari dan memanfaatkan sumber-sumber yang ada didaerah penelitian serta perlu adanya penambahan bak penampungan air sehingga air yang dihasilkan mampu memenuhi semua pelangaan. ; Lembang Sub-district is endowed with abundant water to utilize by surrounding citizens. However, there emerge some problems in its utilization. The issues investigated at the research location were the extent of citizens’ clean water need, fulfillment level that PDAM (Municipal Waterworks) is capable of realizing, and what measures are taken to fulfill clean water need for those who have not been served by PDAM. The research purpose was to compute the quantity of clean water need, to determine the fulfillment level that PDAM is capable of serving, and to describe the measures of fulfilling water for those who have not been served in Lembang Sub-district, West Bandung Regency. The methods used were survey methods. The sample selected was located in Lembang urban area comprising Lembang Village, Gudang Kahuripan, Mekarwangi, Kayuambon, and Jayagiri, with a total sample of 123 respondents. The data analyses applied were descriptive and cross-table analyses. The research findings disclosed that the average need of clean water in the research location was 82.62 liter/day/person. The service level of PDAM in Lembang urban area was 37.62%, capable of supplying only 930 customers. For all the 2500 customers to equally be served, PDAM could only supply 30.72 liter/day/person. So as to fulfill clean water need, the effort commonly pursued by Lembang citizens was to retrench the consumption of clean water. The recommendation of the research to both PDAM customers and PDAM is that they should resort to alternative sources of clean water available in the research location and that water tubs should be added so that the water produced is sufficient to fulfill all customers.
