Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fear of failure, prokrastinasi akademik dan kecurangan akademik pada mahasiswa departemen psikologi UPI. Peneliti tertarik melakukan penelitian ini karena maraknya perilaku kecurangan akademik di kalangan mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dan teknik korelasi yang digunakan yaitu korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 198 mahasiswa Departemen Psikologi UPI. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah PFAI dari Conroy (2002) untuk mengukur Fear of Failure, Skala Prokrastinasi Akademik yang dikembangkan oleh Solihah (2015) berdasarkan teori dari Schouwenberg (1995) dan Skala Kecurangan Akademik yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti berdasarkan teori dari Cizek (dalam Anderman & Murdock, 2007). Hasil yang diperoleh adalah (1) tidak terdapat hubungan antara fear of failure dan kecurangan akademik pada mahasiswa Departemen Psikologi UPI, (2) terdapat hubungan positif antara prokrastinasi akademik dengan kecurangan akademik pada mahasiswa Departemen Psikologi UPI (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari fear of failure dan prokrastinasi akademik terhadap kecurangan akademik sebesar 27,2%.; This research aimed to find out the relationship between Fear of Failure and Academic Procrastination, and Academic Cheating among the students of the Department of Psychology of UPI. The researcher was interested in doing this research because there was phenomenon of academic cheating among college student. The research used quantitative method and the data were analyzed by the correlation Pearson Product Moment. The sample for this research were 198 College Students of the Department of Psychology in UPI. Data were collected using Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory (PFAI)), Academic Procrastination Scale and Academic Cheating Scale. The results indicate that (1) there was no correlation between fear of failure and academic cheating (2) there was significant correlation between academic procrastination and academic cheating (3) the total variation of 27.2% (r2 = 0.272) in cheating academic were predicted by fear of failure and academic procrastination.
