Abstract
Penelitian dilatarbelakangi permasalahan di salah satu sekolah dasar kota Bandung, permasalahan yang terjadi adalah saat pembelajaran siswa tidak menunjukan rasa ingin tahu terhadap pembelajaran, sehingga tidak ada proses berpikir secara ilmiah. Selain itu, strategi pembelajaran yang sering dilakukan secara klasikal membuat siswa tidak terbiasa bekerja sama. Hal ini membuat peneliti melakukan observasi dan wawancara sebelum melakukan penelitian, permasalahan yang terjadi erat kaitannya dengan sikap ilmiah siswa yang kurang. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi, penelitian harus menggunakan pendekatan yang mampu mengembangkan sikap ilmiah siswa. Maka, penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan keterampilan proses, pendekatan yang mampu mengembangkan keterampilan dasar pada pembelajaran IPA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (1) Mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses dalam pembelajaran IPA. (2) Mendeskripsikan peningkatan sikap ilmiah siswa pada penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui empat tahapan dalam setiap pelaksanaan siklusnya yang diadaptasi dari desain penelitian tindakan kelas yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart (Kusumah dan Dwigama, 2009). Tahapan tersebut adalah: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Setelah penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses untuk meningkatkan sikap ilmiah siswa, pada siklus I rata-rata presentase sikap ilmiah pada siklus I adalah 58,6% tergolong kategori cukup dan pada siklus II 87,7% sangat baik, peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II meningkat 29,1%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perencanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses memiliki enam tahap yaitu mengamati, mengelompokkan, memprediksi, mengukur, menyimpulkan dan mengkomunikasikan. Setelah diterapkannya pendekatan keterampilan proses dalam pembelajaran, sikap ilmiah siswa dapat meningkat.; The research was motivated by the problems that occurred in one of the elementary schools in Bandung. The problem is when the learning process begins, the students do not show them enthusiasm on the learning process, and they do not enthusiasm to search information so that there is no process to think scientifically. This makes researchers do the observations and interviews before the research begins, and the problems are very closely related to the students who are low on scientific attitude. Based on the issues, the research should use an approach method that is able to develop a scientific attitude of the students, so the research applying the process skills approach. This approach is able to develop the basic skills in science teaching to improve student’s scientific attitude. The goals of this research are: (1) To describe the application of process skills approach on Science learning process. (2) To describe the improvement of student’s scientific attitude in the application of process skills approach on Science learning process. This research was conducted through four cycles, each of the cycle was adapted by classroom action research design which developed by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart (Kusumah and Dwigama, 2009). After the application of process skills approach to improve the student’s scientific attitude, the average percentage of scientific attitude in the first cycle was 58.6% which belong to the Good category and the second cycle was 87.7% which is Very Good category, the increase is 29.1% from the first cycle to the second cycle. The conclusions of the research is the planning of learning by using the process skills approach was conducted in two cycles. The student’s scientific attitude can incerased by the implementation of the process skills approach on teh learning process.
