Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul Hubungan Antara Penguasaan Konsep Ekosistem Dan Sikap Siswa Terhadap Konservasi Terumbu Karang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk kajian analisis mengenai penguasaan konsep tentang ekosistem terumbu karang dan sikap siswa tentang konservasi serta hubungan antara penguasaan konsep ekosistem terumbu karang dengan sikap siswa terhadap konservasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini berupa siswa kelas XI-Teknik Kelautan dan Jaringan di SMK Negeri Kelautan dan Perikanan Garut yang berjumlah 22 orang siswa, pemilihan sampel dengan mengunakan tehnik purposive sampling, pemilihan sampel dengan mengunakan pertimbangan tertentu. Data penelitian berupa skor yang diperoleh dari soal pilihan ganda dan nilai sikap konservasi siswa berupa angket skala Likert. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubunganan antara penguasaan konsep ekosistem terumbu karang dengan sikap siswa terhadap sikap konservasi. Sikap konservasi siswa SMK Negeri Kelautan dan Perikanan Garut termasuk kategori sangat baik. Rendahnya penguasaan konsep ekositem siswa disebabkan tenaga pendidik hanya menyampaikan materi tanpa mengaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga pembelajaran IPA Biologi kurang bermakna, dan tingginya sikap siswa terhadap konservasi terumbu karang tidak terlepas dari peranan pemerintah melalui dinas perikanan dan kelautan serta KODAM setiap setahun sekali sering mengadakan sosialisasi terdahap pentingnya konservasi. Kata kunci : Penguasaan Konsep Ekosistem, Sikap Siswa dan Konservasi Terumbu Karang The title of this research is Correlation Between Student Ecosystem Concept Mastery and Attitude Toward Coral Reef Conservation. The aim of this research isabout student coral reef ecosystem concept mastery and student attitude toward its conservation, and Correlation Between Student Ecosystem Concept Mastery and Attitude Toward Coral Reef Conservation. This research used descriptive method. Sample used in this research was 22 students grade XI-TKJ at SMK Negeri X Garut. Purposive sampling used as a technique to choose those sample. Research data was student score of multiple choice answer and attitude score based on likert scale questionnaire and interview with an open-ended questions directed for school and student. The result of this research showed that there is no correlation between student coral reef concept mastery with student attitude towards conservation. nevertheless, student attitude of SMK Negeri X Garut was categorized very good. The low of student concept mastery cause of the lack of concept application for daily life that used in science instruction. Therefore, science instruction became unmeaningful learning. The high of student attitude towards coral reef conservation was helped by goverment specially KODAM, Fishery Department, and Maritime Department that established an annual program to socialize the important of its conservation.
