Abstract

Penelitian tentang penggunaan asesmen autentik sebagai Assessment for Learning (AfL) telah dilakukan pada populasi siswa kelas 7 SMPN 1 Margahayu, Bandung, Jawa Barat. Peneliti menggunakan asesmen portofolio dalam discovery learning pada kelas eksperimen I dan asesmen kinerja dalam discovery learning pada kelas eksperimen II. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan soal-soal pilihan ganda yang terdiri dari dua puluh pertanyaan yang berfokus pada penguasaan konsep pemanasan global dan dua puluh pertanyaan yang berfokus pada keterampilan proses sains. Berdasarkan data pretest-posttest, perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa N-Gain penguasaan konsep kelas eksperimen I= 0,314 dan N-Gain keterampilan proses sains kelas eksperimen I= 0,454. Sementara itu, N-Gain penguasaan konsep kelas eksperimen II= 0,426 dan N-Gain keterampilan proses sains kelas eksperimen II= 0,404. Kedua perlakuan mampu meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi konsep pemanasan global dalam kategori sedang. Uji hipotesis data posttest penguasaan konsep menggunakan perhitungan z-score dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 (2-tailed) dan menunjukkan nilai z = -1,526 (nilai signifikansi = 0,137) atau tidak berbeda signifikan antara rerata kelas eksperimen I dan rerata kelas eksperimen II atau efektifitas kedua perlakuan setara. Uji hipotesis data posttest keterampilan proses sains menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 (2-tailed) dan menunjukkan nilai z = - 1, 184 (nilai signifikansi = 0,236) atau tidak berbeda signifikan antara rerata kelas eksperimen I dan rerata kelas eksperimen II atau efektifitas kedua perlakuan setara. Kata kunci: Asesmen autentik, discovery learning, penguasaan konsep, keterampilan proses sains ••• The research about the use of authentic assessment as Assessment for Learning (AfL) has been conducted at junior high school students population of grade 7 (SMPN 1 Margahayu, Bandung). Researcher used portfolio assessment in discovery learning in the experiment I group and performance assessment in discovery learning in the experiment II group. The data collection technique used multiple choises questions consisting of twenty questions focusing on conceptual knowledge of global warming and twenty questions focusing on science process skills. Based on pretest-posttest data, the calculation showed that N-Gain conceptual knowledge of experiment I group=0.314 and N-Gain science process skills of experiment I group=0.454. Meanwhile, N-Gain conceptual knowledge of experiment II group=0.426 and N-Gain science process skills of experiment II group=0.404. Both treatments were considered to be able to enhance students’ conceptual knowledge and students’ science process skills regarding global warming in category of medium. The hypothesis test of conceptual knowledge data used z-score calculation with 0,05 level of significance (2-tailed). Z-score calculation of posttest data of conceptual knowledge showed that z value= -1.526 (significance value=0.137) or there was no significant difference mean between experiment I group and experiment II group. The hypothesis test of science process skills data used Wilcoxon test with 0,05 level of significance (2-tailed). The Wilcoxon test of posttest data of science process skills showed that z value= -1.184 (significance value=0.236) or there was no significant difference mean between experiment I group and experiment II group.
