Abstract

Olahraga anggar memerlukan kemampuan bereaksi yang cepat untuk melakukan gerakan, baik ketika menyerang ataupun bertahan. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya kemampuan bereaksi ditunjang dengan kemampuan mental terutama kemampuan kecerdasan emosiaonalnya (EQ), karena berhubungan dengan kemampuan berfikir berdasarkan kondisi kejiwaan yang dimiliki oleh setiap orang. Berhubungan dengan hal tersebut, maka masalah yang mucul yaitu, kurangnya perhatian terhadap kedua variabel tersebut, antara kemampuan emosinal seorang atlet dengan kempuan bereaksi, sehingga tidak ada acuan data yang mendukung untuk peningkatan kualiatas. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan kedua variabel antara kecerdasan emosional dengan kemapuan bereaksi serta untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi yang dihasilkan. penelitian ini dilandasi karena kurangnya pelatihan kecerdasan emosional terhadap seorang atlet, termasuk kurangnya penelitian terhadap olahraga anggar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kuantitatif korelasi dengan pengujian korelasi, teknik pengambilan sampel yang dilakukana yaitu sampling jenuh dengan jumlah sampel 25 orang atlet UKM Anggar UPI. Kecerdasan emosional tidak berkontribusi besar dan tidak mempengaruhi kemampuan bereaksi sesuai dengan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa tingkat signifikansi korelasi kedua variabel antara EQ dengan Kemampuan bereaksi > 0,05 yaitu 0,244. Temuan penelitian maka kontribusi kemapuan kecerdasan emosional dengan kemampuan bereaksi terdapat hubungan positif antara kedua variabel, hal ini bisa disebabkan karena beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan nilai atau hasil terdapat kontribusi positif. Kata kunci : Kecerdasan Emosional (EQ), Reaksi, Anggar. Fencing requires quick reaction ability to perform the movement, when attacked or also when survive. But in its implementation ability to react is supported with mental capabilities especially emotional intelligence (EQ), because related to the ability to think based on psychological condition that is owned by every man. Related to this, the issues that conscientious person also namely, the lack of attention to both variables, between athletes’ mental capabilities with react ability, so that there is no reference data support for improving the quality. The purpose of the research to know how close the relationship between the two variables between emotional intelligence with the ability to react and to know how big the contribution which produced. This research arises because of the lack of emotional intelligence training towards the athletes, including the lack of research on fencing. The research method use quantitative corelation with corelation testing, using saturated sampling with the number of samples are 25 athletes in UKM or students’ fencing activity in UPI. Emotional intelligence does not contribute great and does not affect the ability to react according to the results of the research showed that the level of the significance of correlation between both variables between EQ with the ability to react > 0.05 namely 0,244. The contribution of research finds the emotional intelligence ability with the ability to react is there is a positive relationship between both variables, this can be caused by several factors that cause the value or results there is a positive contribution.
